16 Crypton and Incase 19
17 CRYPTON Crypton Fabric is a specially engineered fabric system that promises and delivers superior performance from stains and spills. Each fiber of Crypton Fabric is encapsulated with patented technology through an immersion process, so it never breaks down its resistance to stains, moisture, mildew, bacteria, and odors. The impenetrable moisture barrier protects the fabric from spills, keeping stains from setting in the foam of the cushions. The fabric itself is also disinfectable when used in conjunction with EPAapproved Crypton Disinfectant & Deodorizer. Cleaning Code W Water-based cleaning agents or foam may be used. General Recommendations Clean with water based foam or cleaner Do not saturate with liquids Do not get the furniture wet Do not use dry cleaning solvents Regular Maintenance Vacuum regularly Use the proper upholstery attachment to avoid pilling and remove dust and lint Clean periodically to remove build up Promptly treat spots and stains Crypton suggested cleaning method* Wipe off excess spills with a dry cloth Use a powdered enzyme detergent mixed with water to clean Crypton. If necessary, use a soft brush Wash off the soapy cleaner with clear water. As with any other fabric, take care of spills ASAP * Note: Always keep in mind that Crypton is a textile and like all other fabrics, it must be properly cared for to maintain its original features. Besides quickly taking care of spills when they occur, in high use areas, be certain to clean the seating once every three to four months to avoid dirt build up. Stain Treatment and Spot Cleaning A professional cleaning service is recommended Treat stains quickly It will become increasingly difficult to remove the longer a stain is allowed to set Pretest any cleaning method or agent in a small hidden inconspicuous area* Several less concentrated applications are less damaging than one concentrated application * Note: Always try cleaning method in a hidden area first to determine result. 19 RINSING INSTRUCTIONS Rinsing cleaner residue is a critical step in the care of fabric. Cleaning agent residue will continue to degrade fabric, shorten the fabric life and or affect its appearance if not removed. Follow rinsing recommendations outlined for each fabric in the Cleaning Guide. Most fabrics specifically recommend thoroughly rinsing with water and a soft cloth. Do not saturate any fabric with water. See specific cleaning and rinsing recommendations in the Cleaning Guide. 22
