1 Island Scuba Accommodation Options Island Scuba works with a range of accommodation providers within minute walk from our dive center. Mount Lavinia is about an hour from the airport and 15 minutes from the main city of Colombo. We have packages for our onsite accommodation which is mid-range, hostel/backpacker rooms, budget rooms and luxury rooms in a variety of interesting hotels. The easiest way to get to Mount Lavinia from the airport is by taxi and most of our packages include return transfers (there will be someone waiting for you in Arrivals with a name board). You can also get to Mount by bus, bus 187 will take you from the airport to Fort from where there are a number of southern routes that will take you to Mount. It is possible to travel by train as well but these can get quite crowded. There are a number of restaurants and bars in Mount ranging from quiet coffee shops to rustic beach bars and the 5* elegance of the Mount Lavinia Hotel. Therefore we recommend booking on BB and exploring the area and Colombo city for meals. Ask us for recommendations on our favourite spots to eat and we will provide you with a list from streetside shops (kades) to fine dining. You will find details of our accommodation partners and various packages below. If you wish to customize a package for a triple or upgrade a room, do some day tours such as white water rafting or short tours please us and we can help you make those arrangements. Check in time is after 2.00pm and check out is at 12.00pm for all the hotels. If you have an early or late arrival please let us know. 2. Full payment is required six weeks before travel date to confirm packages. For luxury packages a 50% nonrefundable deposit is required, for rest of bookings 20% deposit is required subject to our booking conditions. 1

2 Mid-range Packages Our onsite accommodation is at Mount Bay Hotel which is a 2-star hotel that is just across from the beach and our dive center. The hotel s beachfront restaurant, La Voile Blanche serves great fusion food, an all day breakfast and excellent cocktails and is right next to the dive center. Watersports such as jetskis an SUP boards are available from the restaurant. The hotel provides car hire, airport transfers, smoking area, car park, shared lounge/tv area to ensure our guests the greatest comfort. Guests can choose from 6 all of which are equipped with air-conditioning, hot-water, telephone, fan, blackout curtains, a balcony or access to the terrace and free WiFi. The superior rooms have cable TV. Please note that the railway track is a bit close by to the hotel, we have not had many issues with this but light sleepers may get disturbed. 3 Backpacker Packages We can offer beds at the nearby Ivory Inn guesthouse where there are 4 rooms to a bed. Each bed has a fan and lockers are available for your valuables. There is a large garden onsite and free wifi in public spaces. Airport pickups are not included in the below packages but can be added if you wish. Alternatively you can get to Mount Lavinia by bus as described above. 4 Budget Packages Our budget packages are based at Ranveli Resort which is about 15 minutes walk down the beach. Ranveli is a simple, value for money resort with A/C rooms, restaurant with western and eastern cuisine, room service, free wifi in public spaces and a swimming pool. Ranveli s beach front restaurant, Sunset Beach is across the railway lines and is excellent for evening cocktails. Please note the train line runs close by so again light sleepers may be disturbed.
