2 Dear Customer, Congratulations on the purchase of your Mia Moda Stroller. We are pleased the you have chosen one of our products and hope that you will be completely satisfied with the service you receive from the product. We advise you to read the instructions leaflet carefully before use of the stroller and then to keep it in a safe place. If you fail to do this the safety of your child can be jeopardized. Kindly pay attention to the washing and care instructions so that you enjoy long and trouble free use of your new purchase. Your Mia Moda team Hints for care and use 1. Each product frame is manufactured according to ASTM-F833 standards. To maintain the safety of your product, the moving components must be lubricated regularly and if required rerivetted. Note: Use only silicon-oil or silicon-spray for oiling. 2. Regular care and maintenance contribute to the safety and longevity of your product. Environmental influences such as salty air, road strewn salt or acid rain as well as outdoor storage contribute towards corrosion. Therefore always store your stroller indoors. 3. We recommend regular maintenance of all varnished components. Should the frame and varnished components become soiled use a damp cloth moistend with water diluted mild detergent to wipe away the dirt. Page 2

3 STROLLER RELEASE 1. To open, release side latch. See figure Pull handle upward. See figure Lift handle up and step back to allow the stroller to open. You will hear a distinct click when stroller is in locked opened position. See figure STROLLER ASSEMBLY Attaching the Front wheels 1. Insert the rod on front wheel into the front wheel joint of the front leg. 2. Push firmly until the wheel clicks into place. See figure Pull gently on each wheel to ensure it is secure. Removing the Front wheel 1. The front wheel swivel lock lever must be in the upright position. 2. Release the front wheel by pulling the steel release lever (located under the footrest) backwards, while pulling the wheel out of the front leg. See figure Page 3

4 STROLLER ASSEMBLY Attaching Rear Wheels 1. Insert the rod on each wheel into the wheel joints of the rear legs. 2. Push firmly until each wheel clicks into place. 3. Pull gently on each wheel to ensure it is secure. See figure 6. Removing Rear Wheels 1.Release the rear wheel by pulling the quick release steel lever downward and pull rear wheel out of the rear leg. See figure Attaching the child tray 1.Insert the child tray posts into the receiving holes of the arm rest. 2.Push firmly until the child tray clicks into place. See figure 8. Removing child tray 1.Press on tray release button located under each arm rest. See figure Page 4

5 FUNCTIONS 1. Adjusting the handle. Push both buttons located on the outside of the handle and move up or down. See figure Adjusting the Seat Recline. Locate the metal bar on the back side of the seat. Lift bar while gripping the seat back and raise or lower to desired height. See figure Adjusting the Footrest. Lift the footrest, then raise metal bar and insert into the metal hook located on the back of the of footrest. 4. Front Swivel lock. Locate the front wheel swivel release lever on the right handle. Push the button on the lever and the wheel will automatically lock into place. See figure Front Swivel Release. Pull the front swivel release lever up and wheel will unlock. 12 Page 5

6 FUNCTIONS 6. Engaging Linked Rear Wheel Brake. Push down firmly on the brake lever located below the rear right suspension to engage the brake. Check if the brake is on by gently pushing the stroller. See figure 13& Releasing Linked Rear Wheel Brake. Lift the brake lever up Fitting the harness Your child must always be harnessed in and should never be left unattended, even for short periods of time. 1.To attach the harness. See figure 15. Insert both fasteners securely into the clasp. Adjust each strap length with buckles. See figure To undo the harness press the fastener prongs and pull apart. 7 Fitting the Car Seat 1.Before fitting the car seat, apply the brake, fully recline the seat and push the canopy back. The child tray must be attached. 2.Remove the covers from the armrests by pulling them away from the arms of the stroller. This will reveal the attachment points for the car seat. See figure The car seat has tabs located below the handle on each side, which fit into the attachment points on the armrests. Lower the car seat into position so that it is facing the handlebars of the stroller. See figure Ensure that both the tabs are inserted correctly before proceeding. 19 Page 7

8 Fitting the Car Seat 5.Press and hold the large triangular buttons on both sides of the car seat handle and move it towards the head of the car seat. Once the handle has started to move, you may find it easier to pull it from the center. See figure When it is in position you will hear a distinct click and the triangular buttons will pop out. 7.When the handle is in the correct position and the car seat is locked in place, the safety indicators on both the car seat and stroller will change from red to green. Check both sides of the stroller to make sure both safety indicators are green. See figure Note: The safety indicators on the handle will show green when it is locked in both the upright and fully lowered positions. 8.Gently tug on the car seat to check that it is secure. 21 Page 8

9 Removing the Car Seat 1.To remove the car seat press and hold both the triangular buttons and pull the handle into the upright position. 2.Lift the car seat away from the stroller. Note: Before fitting your car seat into your car, please read the separate car seat instructions carefully. FOLDING THE STROLLER 1.Engage brakes. 2.Close canopy. 3.Fully recline seat. 4.Find the red release button (located on the folding slide lock) See figure While pushing the red release button, pull the left & right folding slide locks in an upwards motion. See figure Once released push the handle bar down and allow stroller to fold. See figure Fold until side latch catches Page 9

10 CARE AND MAINTENANCE Y our stroller requires regular maintenance, which you can provide. Follow the pointers below when caring for your stroller. Regularly inspect the locking devices, brakes, harness assembly, catches, joints and fixings to ensure that are secure and in full working order. Brakes, wheels and tires are subject to wear and tear and should be replaced when necessary. If parts of your stroller become stiff or difficult to operate, make sure dirt is not the cause. Then apply a silicon-based lubricant, ensuring that it reaches between the component parts, but do not over apply as this might encourage the build up of dirt. Regular lubrication of moving parts will extend the life of your stroller and make opening and folding easier. Plastic and metal parts may be sponged clean with warm water and a mild detergent. The seat can be sponged clean with warm water and a mild detergent. After cleaning any part of the travel system, allow it to dry thoroughly before storing. Never clean with abrasive, ammonia based, bleach based or spirit type cleaners. After exposure to damp conditions, leave fully opened and in a warm environment to dry naturally. Dry off with a soft a soft cloth. Mildew may form if you store a damp stroller. Store your stroller in a dry place. Your stroller should be serviced and reconditioned before using it for a second baby, or with 18 months, whichever is sooner. SAFETY NOTES As a parent or care giver of children, we know that safety is of the utmost concern. While this product has been developed to all of the relevant safety standards, we need your help to maintain that level of safety and minimize the risk that a baby using this product will be harmed. Your baby should never be left alone in the stroller and all tempting objects should be kept out of your child's reach. Page 10

NEVER LEAVE child unattended. Always keep child in view while in stroller. AVOID SERIOUS INJURY from falling or sliding out. Always use seat belt. After fastening buckles, adjust belts to get a snug fit around your child. AVOID FINGER ENTRAPMENT: use care when folding and unfolding the stroller. Be certain the stroller is fully erected and latched before allowing your child near the stroller. NEVER USE STROLLER ON STAIRS or escalators. You may suddenly lose control of the stroller or your child may fall out. Also, use extra care when going up or down a step or curb. STROLLER TO BE USED only at walking speed. Product not intended for use while jogging, skating, etc. USE OF THE STROLLER with a child weight more than 40 lbs (18kg) could be unsafe. Use the stroller with only one child at a time. TO PREVENT A HAZARDOUS, UNSTABLE CONDITION, never place purses, shopping bags, parcels or accessory items on the handle or canopy. TO PREVENT A HAZARDOUS, UNSTABLE CONDITION, do not place more than 9 lbs (4 kg) in the storage basket. Page 11

It may collapse and cause injury. NEVER PLACE child in the stroller with head toward front of stroller. NEVER ALLOW YOUR STROLLER to be used as a toy. DISCONTINUE USING YOUR STROLLER should it become damaged or broken. AVOID STRANGULATION. DO NOT place items with a string around your child's neck, suspend strings from this product, or attach strings to toys. USING Mia Moda's Viva CARSEAT WITH STROLLER: USE ONLY THE VIVA CARSEAT with this travel system. Improper use of this stroller with other manufacturers' car seats may result in serious injury or death. READ THE MANUAL provided with your Viva car seat before using it with your stroller. ALWAYS SECURE your child with the car seat harness when using the car seat in the stroller. If your child is already in the car seat, check that the child is secured with the harness. Page 12
