2 Chapter 1:Hardware Setting 1.1 Package Contents Unpack your External TV BOX and make sure that all items are intact. The following items should be included in your package: LCD TV BOX LCD TV BOX Pedestal AC adapter Remote control Audio cable VGA input cable User manual 1.2 System Requirements No specific PC system required VESA compatible VGA monitor or TV. Video input device (e.g. Cable, Antenna, VCR, V8, LD player, and etc.) 1.3 Hardware Installation Please refer to the following pictorial guide for peripheral connection. -2-

4 Chapter 2:OSD Function Interface Choose the Menu button from the screen or press FUN button on the remote control to enter the OSD function menu. There are 4 major functions to select from. 2.1 Video display When you enter to the video adjust function, please press CH + /- to select which setting you want to adjust. Brighteness Contrast Hue Gamma Sharpness Reset Press VOL + to increase or VOL - to decrease the brightness Press VOL + to increase or VOL - to decrease the contrast of color Press VOL + to increase or VOL - to decrease the color tones Press VOL + to increase or VOL - to decrease the gamma of color Press VOL + to increase or VOL - to decrease the degree of color permeation Return to the original setting 2.2 TV function Please set the TV system of your country when operating the TV Box at first time. If you are not sure about the TV system of your country, please refer the model type on the box. System Setup TV Setup Channel Setup Channel Scan MTS Setup Reset TV system includes NTSC, NTSC-J, PAL BG, PAL DK, PAL I, etc. Please press VOL + / - button to change the setting. ( If you can see your country that means your country s TV system is a little different. Please select your country to make sure you can get the correct TV channel. ) Press VOL + / - button to switch video source from cable or antenna. Press VOL + to add the current channel and VOL - to delete it Press the VOL +/- button to scan all the TV channels. Press VOL + / - button o to switch the audio output mode. Return to the original setting 2.3Audio Setting Treble Press VOL + to increase or VOL - to decrease treble. Bass Press VOL + to increase or VOL - to decrease bass setting. Balance Press VOL + to increase or VOL - to decrease balance. Reset Return to the original setting -4-

5 2.4 Resolution Setting Press VOL + button on the panel or Right key of your remote control for resolution setup. 640*480@60 Hz 800*600@60 HZ 1024*768@60 HZ 1280*1024@60 HZ 640*480@75 Hz 800*600@75 HZ 1024*768@75 HZ 1280*1024@75 HZ Note : If the resolution you ve chosen which causes a blank screen on your monitor or TV, it means your monitor or TV does not support the chosen resolution. Please choose a suitable resolution settings in order for the display to be shown on the screen. -5-

6 Chapter 3:Remote control 1. Power : Press this button to turn on the TV box and press again to turn off it. 2. Source: Select to TV, Composite, SVHS and PC mode. 3. SCAN: Scan all channels. 4. CATV/TV: Switch video source from cable or antenna. 5. TV/FM: Click this button to toggle between TV or FM. (Option) 6. FM Tuning: FM frequency shift. (Option) 7. FUN: Open the OSM menu. Press again to switch to the next page. 8. : Select the last option in the OSD. 9. : Select the next option in the OSD. 10. :Adjust the value. 11. : Adjust the value. 12. SAP: Switch Stereo, SAP or MONO. (Option) 13. Mute: Press this button to mute the sound. 14. Reset: Return to the original value. (1024 * 768@60HZ) 15. ZOOM: Switch to next resolution mode 16. Numeric Keypad: Select the desired channel directly. 17. Channel Up/Down: Click this button to go to next/previous channel. 18. Volume Up/Down: Click this button to increase/decrease the audio volume 19. Recall: Jump to last selected TV channel. -6-
