That s why Henkel is developing more products that rely on polyurethane chemistry. Henkel s LOCTITE MAX 2 and LOCTITE MAX 3 technologies replace epoxy resin matrix systems with polyurethane, which withstands bending and flexing better than epoxy, and which has lower viscosity to help speed production. LOCTITE MAX 2 Two-component, polyurethane-based matrix resin system. Ultra-fast injection at a rate of 50g to 100g of resin per second. LOCTITE MAX 3 Three-component, polyurethanebased matrix resin system. High-temperature resistance enables immediate painting and bonding to accelerate production processes. By 2025, environmental standards* will result in an average industry fleet-wide level of 163 grams/mile of carbon dioxide the equivalent of 54.5 miles per gallon. Vehicle lightweighting plays a key role in meeting these standards. Henkel enables the introduction of lightweight material, such as aluminum and composites, through bonding and surface treatment solutions.
