6 3M Protective Tapes General Information 1. Standard web sizes vary by backing. Typical widths are 48 (1219mm), 60 (1524mm) and 72 (1828mm). Typical roll length is 1000 (304m). 2. All tapes are custom slit. Custom sizes are available as follows: widths of 2 (50.8mm) to 72 (1828mm), lengths up to 5,000 (1524m). 3. Available custom * options: Cross Perforations, Center Perforations, Colored Film, Zone Coated Film and Printed Film. 4. Inventory is rotated on a first in - first out method. It is recommended that 3M Protective Tape Products be used within 12 months of their manufacture date. 5. Recommended storage temperature is 60-80º F (16-27º C) and a relative humidity range of 40-60%. 6. Surface preparation is important. The substrate should be clean and free from residue, such as dust and oil, when the tape is applied in order to achieve optimum adhesion. 7. 3M Protective Tape Products should be applied to and removed from substrates at a temperature not less than 60º F (16º C) for optimum performance. Note: If 3M Protective Tapes Products become wet after being applied to a substrate, the tape should be allowed to completely dry before being removed. * Minimums for custom options may apply.
