2 1. Introduction Find the most obvious design options, including standard surcharges, in this document in order for you to have clear guidelines of what options are available. Material and colour options A large range of our standard products can be produced in other materials and colours at a surcharge. Many of our steel products can be painted in other colours than our BCI standard colours and some wooden products can be produced in other kinds of wood veneers, be stained, be lacquered or be produced with melamine, laminate or linoleum surfaces. See a full overview of surcharges in this document. Colour match for steel and wooden products Do note that our standard steel colours can be matched on wooden products. Size of order The charges noted in this document are basic rules, applicable primarily to the constant flow of small to medium sized orders. If you are working on a larger project, it could very well be possible to deliver in other colours and finishes at a smaller extra charge please inquire with Customer Service or your Area Manager. As a guideline, products not listed in this document can only be produced as standard. There may be situations, such as large projects or large quantities, where this can be deviated from. Again please inquire with Customer Service or your Area Manager. Delivery time Depending on the wanted modification, the delivery time may increase. Please contact your Area Manager or Customer Service to determine how long. Special requests All special requests must be coordinated with your Area Manager and Customer Service. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have requests which are not covered in this document. We are happy to offer individual project solutions. 2

3 2. Steel colours General guidelines The steel parts can be produced in standard steel colours at no extra charge. The only exceptions are Mango (#237), Copper (#241) and City Grey (#236) that have a 3% price supplement. The steel parts can also be produced in a RAL or NCS colours outside standard with the following surcharges: Starter fee for RAL colours DKK / EUR surcharge of 15%* Starter fee for NCS colours DKK / EUR surcharge of 15%* Starter fee for custom colours DKK / EUR surcharge ** *A higher surcharge for colours with metallic look or different surface textures must be expected. **Surcharge depends on supply channel and project size. Steel gloss range is between 60 and 80, except for Champagne Mist (Eurobib off-white), that has steel gloss range between Special requests outside this gloss range are not covered by the above surcharges. Chrome, electro galvanised and aluminium parts are not available in other colours. Products such as e.g. wheels and accurides cannot be produced in other colours than described in the pricelist. 5 3. Shelving systems Steel parts See Steel colours general guidelines. The same surcharges as for the steel parts of the shelving systems apply for steel parts for lighting. The wooden parts of our shelving systems are as standard produced in beech or birch veneer. The following surcharges are used when other wood veneer types are requested: The following surcharge is used when the wooden parts are stained: Stained + 15% Example: Stained oak will have a total surcharge of 15% + 15% = 32%. : OPAL cannot be stained as it is produced in plywood. Painted wooden parts Wooden components for BCI shelving systems can be painted in any NCS or RAL colour without extra surcharge. Requests for wood colours with texture, metallic look or similar may involve an extra surcharge. Wood gloss range is around 30. Special requests outside this gloss range may involve an extra surcharge. We do not recommend lacquered shelves as the wear and tear of books sliding across the lacquered surface will damage the surface (see laminate option below) Please be aware that when lacquered, the slats in display end panels may not be fully covered. Laminate and linoleum Laminate and linoleum is recommended for surfaces used for books, display, work space and similar. Besides being ideal for wooden shelves and table tops, it is also recommended for end panels. The following surcharges are used for laminates and linoleums: Linoleum/laminate + 15% Solid core laminate + 25% Some very special laminates and linoleums may release a higher surcharge. Shelving components with fabric As a standard, pin boards, intermediate panels and end panels with fabric are produced with Light cotton or Pause 3. Other fabrics can be chosen. The surcharge will vary depending on choice of fabric. 5

6 Melamine back panels Melamine back panels for Softline, Slimline and Frontline are as a standard beech or birch melamine. Order the following melamine types: #1 Birch, #2 Beech (for wood veneer type #70), #9 light-steamed beech (for wood veneer type #55.) Other melamine types can be chosen at a surcharge of +25%. If a special melamine is requested please contact Customer Service. (Back panels are also available with wood veneer.) 6

7 4. Library furniture 4a. Wooden browser The wooden browsers are as standard produced in beech or birch veneer. The browser dividers, back panels, bases and fronts are as standard produced in white (#222). The following surcharge is used when the wooden parts are stained: Stained + 15% Example: Stained oak will have a total surcharge of 15% + 15% = 32%. 4b. BOX browser Painted wooden parts The BOX browsers are as standard produced in painted MDF. The BOX browsers can be painted in any NCS or RAL colour without extra surcharge. Requests for colours with texture, metallic look or similar may involve an extra surcharge. The wood gloss range is around 30. Special requests outside this gloss range may involve an extra surcharge. 4c. Atlas desk The Atlas desk is as standard produced in beech or birch veneer. The shelves for the Atlas desk are as standard produced in white (#222). The following surcharge is used when the wooden parts are stained: Stained + 15% Example: Stained oak will have a total surcharge of 15% + 15% = 32%. Laminate and linoleum The table tops are as standard produced in grey laminate Dandekor Etronit MB 311 NCS 4502-B Grey (#185) or grey linoleum Forbo desktop elegance 4175 Grey (#257). The following surcharges are used for other laminates and linoleums: Linoleum/laminate + 15% Solid core laminate + 25% Some very special laminates and linoleums may release a higher surcharge. 4d. Newspaper stand The Newspaper stand is as standard produced in beech and birch veneer. The back panels and shelves are as standard produced in white (#222). The following surcharge is used when the wooden parts are stained: Stained + 15% Example: Stained oak will have a total surcharge of 15% + 15% = 32%. Laminate and linoleum The top plates are as standard produced in white laminate (#107) only. 9

10 5. Study tables 5a. Opal study table Steel parts See Steel colours General guidelines. The Opal study tables are as standard produced in beech or birch veneer. The table top can be produced in plywood with visible plywood edges or in chipboard with solid wood edges. Laminate and linoleum The Opal study tables have standard table tops in grey laminate Dandekor Etronit MB 311 NCS 4502-B Grey (#185) or grey linoleum Forbo desktop elegance 4175 Grey (#257). The following surcharges are used for other laminates and linoleums: Linoleum/laminate + 15% Solid core laminate + 25% Some very special laminates and linoleums may release a higher surcharge. 5b. Mezitta study tables Steel parts See Steel colours General guidelines. The column can only be produced in anodized aluminium. The colour of the edging follows the colour of the steel. Laminate and linoleum The Mezitta study tables have standard table tops in grey laminate Dandekor Etronit MB 311 NCS 4502-B Grey (#185) or grey linoleum Forbo desktop elegance 4175 Grey (#257). The following surcharges are used for other laminates and linoleums: Linoleum/laminate + 15% Solid core laminate + 25% Some very special laminates and linoleums may release a higher surcharge. 10

11 5c. Study tables classic and basic Steel parts See Steel colours General guidelines. The BCI Study tables classic and BCI Study tables / computer tables basic are as standard produced in beech or birch veneer. The following surcharge is used when the wooden parts are stained: Stained + 15% Example: Stained oak will have a total surcharge of 15% + 15% = 32%. 11

Painted wooden parts The Frontline panels and top + bottom plates are as standard produced in painted MDF. The wooden parts can be painted in any NCS or RAL colour without extra surcharge. Requests for wood colours with texture, metallic look or similar may involve an extra surcharge. Wood gloss range is around 30. Special requests outside this gloss range may involve an extra surcharge. Laminate and linoleum The following surcharges are used for laminates and linoleums: Linoleum/laminate + 15% Solid core laminate + 25% Some very special laminates and linoleums may release a higher surcharge. 12

13 7. Counters 7a. Softline counter Steel parts - steel front See Steel colours General guidelines. The Softline counter system is as standard produced in light steamed beech or birch veneer. Laminate and linoleum The table tops, desk shelf tops and kick plate fronts are as standard produced in grey laminate Dandekor Etronit MB 311 NCS 4502-B Grey (#185), grey linoleum Forbo desktop elegance 4175 Grey (#257) or Marlomeum Real 3077 (#345). The following surcharges are used for other laminates and linoleums: Linoleum/laminate + 15% Solid core laminate + 25% Some very special laminates and linoleums may release a higher surcharge. 7b. Concertina counter Steel parts upper front panel See Steel colours general guidelines. Steel parts base module The Concertina base module is as standard produced in standard Concertina grey (#229) but can be ordered in other standard colours with a surcharge of DKK 1, per module. If other colours are requested please see Steel colours General guidelines. The actuator is only available in RAL 9006 Steel (#220). As a standard, the rubber edging and fenders are produced in grey. Steel parts table tops The steel parts are as standard produced in Concertina grey (#229), but can be ordered in other colours according to general guidelines. 14 - fronts The wooden fronts for the Concertina counter are as standard produced in beech or birch veneer. Painted wooden parts drawer pedestals The drawer pedestals are as standard produced in Concertina grey (#229). The drawer pedestals can be painted in any NCS or RAL colour without extra surcharge. Requests for wood colours with texture, metallic look or similar may involve an extra surcharge. Wood gloss range is around 30. Special requests outside this gloss range may involve an extra surcharge. Laminate and linoleum The table tops and rail top are as standard produced in grey laminate Dandekor Etronit MB 311 NCS 4502-B Grey (#185) or grey linoleum Forbo desktop elegance 4175 Grey (#257). The following surcharges are used for other laminates and linoleums: Linoleum/laminate + 15% Solid core laminate + 25% Some very special laminates and linoleums may release a higher surcharge. Table tops and rail tops cannot be produced in wood veneer. 14

15 8. Children s furniture 8a. Puzzle Puzzle is as standard produced in birch veneer. Please inquire with Customer Service for request in lacquered. As an example high gloss versions will release a starter fee of DKK / EUR 1,075 and surcharge per items. Surcharge per item may also vary for standard NCS and RAL colours. 15

16 9. Eurobib Direct Library Furniture Library furniture from the Eurobib Direct range can in many cases be customized when it comes to colours and materials. Please contact Customer Service or your Area Manager for a quote. 16
