2 Program Day 1 Welcome to Switzerland a private airport assistant will wait for you at the airport to hand over the travel documents and escort you to the train. Your first train ride will take you from the airport to the historical city of Lucerne. Because of its central location right on Lake Lucerne, which is surrounded by grand mountains like Mount Titlis at 3000 meters high or the impressive Mount Pilatus, Lucerne is considered to be the "Switzerland in Switzerland". You will find everything here: the lake, the mountains, the city Explore the hidden treasures of Lucerne on your own or optional with a local guide. Take a leisurely walk through a maze of small streets, bridges, promenades and plazas dominated by countless historical towers, fountains and frescoed buildings. You may also go running along the beautiful Lake of Lucerne to reactivate your body after a long-haul flight. Start with a cruise by steam boat from Lucerne to Treib with stunning views of the surrounded mountains. Take the small funicular drive-train up to Seelisberg here you will enjoy a fantastic view of the lake and the area. A scenic drive through farmland by bus and train will take you back to Lucerne. In the afternoon you will need to keep the balance! A well trained guide will show you in about an hour how to stand up and get the feeling for stand up paddling. Finish this day by relaxing at the lido and take a refreshing swim in the Lake of Lucerne. 3 Day 3 Make your way by train further to the Eiger village of Grindelwald in the Bernese Oberland. This mountain village lies embedded in a welcoming and green hollow, surrounded by a commanding mountain scape with the Eiger north face and the Wetterhorn. This mountain scape, the numerous lookout points and activities make Grindelwald to one of the most popular and cosmopolitan holiday and excursion destinations in Switzerland. In the afternoon you will have time to explore the beautiful surroundings of this village by hiking on one of the many well marked hiking trails. From there, you speed rapidly along 800 metres of steel cable up to 50 metres above the ground at a speed of up to 84 kilometres per hour with the First Flyer towards Schreckfeld. After the thrills, you are spoiled for choice. Either you take the next gondola cable car or indulge in a leisurely hike to Bord station. At Grindelwald Bord, a restaurant offers tasty snacks on a sunny terrace overlooking the mountains. 4 Day 5 Your next destination today is magical Zermatt - This idyllic village in the Matter Valley is a car free resort and offers a fantastic panorama of 38 four-thousand-meter peaks. The Matterhorn, the world s most famous rock is a natural pyramid glittering in the sun and is the European Alps' most photographed mountain. Enjoy yourself with Hiking, mountain biking, climbing and summer skiing just to mention a few popular attractions in summer. The natural Glacier Palace beneath the top station at the Matterhorn glacier paradise gives you an insight in to the fascinating world of snow and ice. The compelling Five Lakes Walk takes you from Blauherd to Sunnegga, passing by five stunning mountain lakes on the way. You will be captivated by the reflection of the Matterhorn in the waters and by the many colorful alpine flowers around the lakes. Leisee and Grünsee lakes are great spots for a refreshing dip. Back down in the village you might want to release your muscle s tension by getting a relieving foot massage at your mountain resort. 5 Day 7 Another memorable private guided half day adventure to the Gorner gorge awaits you today. The Gorner gorge is composed of imposing rock formations such as glacial mills and water polished rocks, within thundering floods of water - a unique wonder of nature! The dynamic Fixed Rope Route leads you across the polished rock with the use of steel cables and devices, which are attached to the rock. The highlights of the traverse are three rappelling passages, three flying foxes, a pendulum swing and a Himalayan bridge.
