2 1. What is JVi? This tasty, delicious drink reflects a blend of twelve fruits and vegetables and can be enjoyed by everyone in your family. JVi is an exclusive combination of fruits and vegetables juices and concentrates made of nine commonly consumed fruits in Europe (carrot, white and red grapes, apple, pear, tomato, watermelon, mango and olives) and three more exotic, imperial fruits (wolfberry, sea buckthorn and acerola). This orange coloured beverage is rich in vitamin C and copper, a source of biotin and contains carotenoids, naturally present in the mentioned fruits and vegetables. Vitamin C and copper contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress and to the normal function of the immune system. Vitamin C, copper and biotin contribute to respectively to normal collagen formation, normal skin pigmentation, and maintenance of normal skin. 2. Why should I take 120 ml of JVi per day? JVi, formulated by our R&D department requires a 120 milliliter intake. To make sure you take in an adequate amount of vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients, we recommend drinking 120 milliliter of JVi, together with a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle which will help you to meet your daily intake of vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients. JVi was developed to answer the specific European needs and its optimised formula is established to match the customers needs as close as possible. Thus JVi also has its proper daily intake recommendations. 3. Can I take JVi with other Nu Skin products? JVi is complementary with Nu Skin ageloc products. It is important to protect your skin from the inside. JVi contains vitamin C, biotin and copper which respectively contribute to normal collagen formation for the normal function of the skin, the maintenance of normal skin, and normal skin pigmentation. But don t forget to protect your skin as well from the outside by applying the Nu Skin ageloc products for the promotion of a youthful skin structure. JVi is also complementary with Nu Skin s moisturisers and Nu Skin Sunright, for the maintenance of a normal skin and to better protect your skin against oxidative stress that can come with UV radiation. For a complete nutritional foundation, we recommend to take JVi with LifePak + and Marine Omega: Marine Omega is a convenient way to increase your dietary intake of omega-3 fatty acids, containing Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) and Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA). EPA and DHA contribute to the normal function of the heart. DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal vision and normal brain function. LifePak + will bring you significant amounts of the required vitamins and minerals to target nine important functions of your body. LifePak + together with JVi will provide you with a complete solution. 2
3 4. Is JVi a Skin Carotenoid Score Certified product? Yes it is. JVi contains all the needed carotenoids components to guarantee that after 90 days of a daily intake at the required dosage it will ensure a positive effect on the Skin Carotenoid Score. 5. Does the Money Back Guarantee (MBG) apply for JVi? Yes the MBG applies for JVi. This means that a daily optimum intake for at least 90 consecutive days will ensure an increase of the Skin Carotenoid Score. If not, and if you meet all the conditions of the MBG programme*, you will receive your money back for the purchase of the product (excluding shipping costs). *Please visit the details of the MBG programme on our website. 6. Why is the ORAC value not mentioned for JVi? JVi provides a balance of both fat- and water-soluble antioxidants. ORAC only measures watersoluble antioxidants and does not reflect the effects of antioxidants, once they have entered the body. Although the ORAC value provides useful information, Nu Skin decided to work only with the Pharmanex BioPhotonic Scanner. This Nu Skin tool has demonstrated the effect and difference that JVi makes: JVi contains the required dosage of carotenoids to ensure an increase of your Skin Carotenoid Score in 90 days. 7. Is JVi glucose, lactose and fructose free? Can JVi be used by diabetics? These sugars in JVi have not been added to the formula. Only natural sugars present in our selection of fruits and vegetables are included in the JVi beverage. Fructose, galactose, glucose, sucrose and maltose are some examples of natural occurring sugars in fruits. These substances give a sweet taste to fruits. As you can see in the nutritional table, JVi contains 10 grams of sugars per 100 milliliter. If you have diabetes and you would like to add JVi to your daily regimen, please consult with your physician. They can make sure that the dosage of sugar in JVi is specifically adapted to the glucose levels in your blood. 8. What are the main benefits of JVi? JVi is rich in vitamins and minerals, such as vitamin C and copper. And it is a good source of biotin (vitamin B8). Protection from oxidative stress: Vitamin C and copper contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress Normal immune system function: Vitamin C and copper support the normal function of the immune system 3
4 The skin: Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation. Biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal skin. Copper supports the normal skin pigmentation It is important to have a varied and balanced diet, and a healthy lifestyle. 9. Can children take JVi? JVi has not been specifically developed for children, however if you like to give it to your children, we recommend the following dosages: Children 3 14 years: 2*15 ml/day or 30 ml in the morning Children years: 2* 25 ml/day or 50 ml in the morning Adults: 2 times 60 ml 10. Why should I drink JVi? Nowadays a lot of people have a really busy schedule. Going to work, doing sports, taking care of their children. Because of their overloaded agenda, people often don t take the required amounts of vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients. JVi is one of the Pharmanex solutions to help you to achieve the required daily amount of fruits and vegetables. 11. Why do we see small particles on the surface? JVi is an exclusive blend of fruit and vegetable juices and concentrates made of nine commonly European consumed fruits (carrot, white and red grapes, apple, pear, tomato, watermelon, mango and olives) and three imperial fruits (wolfberry, sea buckthorn and acerola). The small particles that you may see on the surface of JVi are produced by the olives that have been added to this beverage: carotenoids are fat soluble and olive oil will help the body to better absorb them. Since oils are heavier than water and oil and water don t mix, oily substances will float to the surface of water. So these small particles you can see on the surface of JVi are simply drops of olive oil. This is also the reason why you should shake JVi before every use. 12. What are carotenoids? Carotenoids are natural pigments, responsible for the bright colours of some fruits and vegetables such as carrots and tomatoes. The most common carotenoids are lycopene and β-carotene, both part of the vitamin A family. 13. Is JVi a safe product? JVi is a safe and well tolerated beverage. It contains 9 commonly used European fruits and 3 special imperial fruits that have been used traditionally in several cultures. 4
5 14. Why does JVi contain sodium benzoate? Benzoic acid is a naturally present compound. Sodium benzoate is derived from benzoic acid and used as a preservative which inhibits microbial growth and thus extends the shelf life which enables you to consume your product longer. The use of this preservative is regulated in Europe and follows the European restrictions. 15. Is JVi gluten free? JVI is made entirely of ingredients that are naturally free of gluten. Because fruits and vegetables are naturally free of gluten, it is unlikely that JVi ever comes in contact with gluten-containing ingredients. However, no product analyses have been completed to guarantee that JVi is gluten free. 16. Does JVi contain juices or concentrates? JVi is a tasty, delicious beverage that contains fruit and vegetables juices and concentrates. It is an exclusive blend of fruits and vegetables made of 9 commonly consumed European fruits (carrot, white and red grapes, apple, pear, tomato, watermelon, mango and olives) and 3 imperial fruits (wolfberry, sea buckthorn and acerola). So JVI not only contains fruit and vegetable juices, but also fruit and vegetable concentrates. 17. Does JVi only contain natural flavouring? The fruits and vegetables juices and concentrates in JVi contribute to its great taste. But to enhance the flavour of JVi and to keep it as close to nature as possible, a natural flavour was added. This document is for use by Nu Skin Enterprises EMEA staff and independent Distributors. It is not to be circulated to members of the public. 5 FAQ_JVi_WEB_EN_1401_INT 2014 NSE Products, Inc.
