5 SSO Annual Report: Water in Basement Narratives Enter narrative analysis of WIB patterns by location, frequency and cause. 03/16/14 - Received call from plumber regarding backup in basement at 2063 Beaver Valley. Found roots in the outlet manhole and a blockage of undetermined source which was jetted and cleared. 05/21/14 - Experienced a rainfall event close to the 100 year flood level according to the Miami Conservancy District. Creeks left their banks throughout town with many streets flooded. Received 7 calls of water in basement. Three sites appeared to be directly related to sewer system overload: 438 VanTress, 501 VanTress and 500 VanTress. The remaining calls were all at homes that backed up to the overflowing creeks and flooded roads so the cause is not clear cut. Those addresses: 4 Mann, 8 Mann, 869 Princeton, 852 S. Central. 11/18/14 - Received call from resident at 100 W. Parkwood of sewage backup. Cleared blockage of undetermined source and problem resolved. 12/29/14 - Received call from resident of 19 W. Whittier of backup in basement and neighbor's basement. Found blockage of undetermined source. Area was jetted and cleared. EPA 4238 (Rev. 6/14) Page 5 of 5
