Toxicological Information Acute effects Inhalation of vapour causes dizziness, drowsiness and nausea. Can be absorbed through the skin. Other acute effects - corrosive, skin and eye contact will cause severe irritation and caustic burns. Chronic effects Recent studies have shown that 1,2 dimethoxyethane can cause testicular atrophy, teratogenic effects and embryo toxicity in mice.
