2 This document prescribes how a student may transfer from the North Carolina Community College (NCCC) system to the University of Mount Olive (UMO) in order to complete a four-year degree in Criminal Justice. The requirements are divided into three areas: 46 hours of General Education Requirements (GER), as outlined on page 1; 29 hours of electives, which are selected by each individual student; and 51 hours of Criminal Justice and Criminology curriculum, as outlined in the pages that follow. The total hours required in order to transfer from Cape Fear Community College to UMO and graduate with a degree is 126.

3 This satisfies the General Education Requirements (GER) for the University of Mount Olive and enables you to transfer in with junior status. Once you arrive at the University of Mount Olive, it is recommended that you follow the suggested class schedule according to your degree program, as outlined on the pages that follow. If you complete the courses at Cape Fear Community College as outlined in the far right column, you will transfer 23/24 hours into the UMO GER. If you complete the courses at Cape Fear Community College as outlined in the far left column, you will transfer 15 hours into the UMO Criminal Justice and Criminology curriculum and 25 hours into general electives.
