5 New Home Construction All projects must be pre-registered Call the NHC hotline to register and provide: Company contact information Home construction address Construction start date Estimated completion date Program builder is participating in (BOP, Tier I or Tier II) address of the builder Projects NOT pre-registered will be denied rebates Information will be used to conduct verification of field inspectors HERS raters and pre-payment (a.k.a. BOP) verifiers Random sampling of homes Non-compliance will result in denied rebates

9 Residential Prescriptive Rebates Equipment Type 2016 Update Electronic commutated motor (ECM) Air-source heat pump Geothermal heat pump Doors Motor must be installed on a new natural gas furnace that meets Alliant Energy s rebate requirements: Minimum AFUE of 94% and less than 225,000 BTUH Eliminating current lowest efficiency rating (SEER 14.5/EER 12/HSPF 8.2) Adding high efficiency rated units (SEER 18/EER 13/HSPF 10) $800 rebate Claim form will allow customer and/or contractor to distinguish if system is open loop or closed loop. Discontinued

12 Residential Insulation Qualifications: Home Energy Assessment required Insulation measures based on assessment recommendations Home must be built before January 1, 2006 Heating or cooling energy from Alliant Energy Insulation locations: ceiling, foundation, wall, attic, rim/band joist Insulation types: blown-in loose-fill, blanket rolls, batt and spray foam Rebate: 70% of total cost with a $750 maximum rebate Insulation rebate amounts are calculated based on the cost per R-value per square foot of conventional insulation materials. Should the customer select an alternative, more expensive insulation material such as spray foam; their rebate will be calculated based on conventional materials for the same space. Infiltration Reduction: Caulking Weather Stripping Lighting Fixture Sealing Duct Sealing an additional $250 maximum rebate (up to 70%) Rebate: 70% of installed cost with a $250 maximum rebate
13 Residential HVAC SAVE Requirement Beginning January 1, 2014, all residential HVAC systems (new installations and retrofits) must be installed by a SAVE certified contractor for the customer to be eligible for a rebate and dealer to receive the incentive. Deadline for Air Conditioners SAVE reports installed between January 1, 2015 and December 31, 2015 is September 30, 2016.

23 NEW business rebates for 2016 Equipment Rebate Amount Requirements Walk-in refrigerator/freezer automatic door closers $100/unit Must be able to firmly close the door when it is within one inch of full closure. Door must have a minimum perimeter of 16 feet. Tune ups for self-contained refrigeration units Occupancy sensors for LED lighting in reach-in refrigerated cases $50/unit Tuneup is defined as work performed to regain or maintain optimal and efficient operation. Tuneup service provided by internal staff is not eligible for incentives. Rebate is available once per calendar year per piece of equipment. Labor only. Parts, taxes and truck charges are not eligible for rebate. $30 per sensor Eligible only for lighting on see-through doors equipped on enclosed reach-in cases. Must reduce lighting load to 20% or less when unoccupied. Existing timers must continue to be used after installation of motion sensor Pre-rinse sprayer $40/unit Flow rate must be less than or equal to 1.28 gpm. Natural gas boiler pipe insulation $2/linear foot The pipes must transfer hot water, low-pressure or highpressure steam directly from gas-fired equipment. Minimum qualifying pipe diameter is 1/2. A minimum of 1 of pipe insulation must be added to existing bare steel or copper pipe. Indoor pool, spa/hot tub cover Pool: $0.50/sq ft Spa: $7.00/sq ft Pool/hot tub must be a non-residential use
