After an introduction of the rescue tecniques in a sea kayak we ll leave the beach in direction to the sea lion colony. On our way we can observe chilean and austral dolphins, cormorans, pelicans, penguins and the beautiful forests of the chilean Patagonia but from a new point of view. Arriving at the colony we can already hear the sea lions roar, there are hundreds of all kinds and aspects. On our way we can enjoy the beautiful landscapes, virgin beaches, volcanoes and majestic mountains from the ocean. We get very close to the animals of the ocean such as dolphins, sea lions, penguins, comorans, pelicans y with a lot of luck we can even see a blue whale. If the weather alows it, we can bathe in the Pacific ocean to refresh. 5 climbing volcano The eruption of the volcano was in 2008 and destoyed 80% of the city. Till today you can notica the ashes and the great destruction the erption left behind. After a walk through the burned forest of about 1 hour and a half, we get to the top of the mountain, where we can enjoy the beautiful view of amazing landscapes, lakes, mountains and forests. We can also see the dome that was created by the material that came out of the eruption and there is steam coming out. A spectacular tour discovering waht happened in this shocking event. Continuing our journey on the Carretera Austral we ll get to the trail of the volcano. we walk about 20 minutes till the base of the volcano where we can observe the burned forest caused by the eruption of After that, we`ll walk the Alerce trail which takes about 40 minutes and shows us giant Alerce trees, some of them over 3000 years old. On our way back we stop at the Cascada Escondida trail (the hidden waterfalls) and walk about 20 minutes to a beautiful and impresive waterfall. Finishing a long and exhausting day we stop at the amazing beach of Santa Barbara where we enjoy a delicious picnic and the beautiful sunset. Afterwards we ll go back to the city if. A hike of about 1 hour and a half takes us through the beautiful forest to a river with an impressive view of the glacier. After that we ll enter the Pumailin Park and walk the ranita de Darwin trail. On our hike of about an hour and a half we walk through the forest and can observe flora and fauna and with some luck even the famous Darwin frog. To relax after the hiking we ll go to the hotsprings El Amarillo. Rustic hot baths in the middle of the patagonian jungle, perfect to relax and enjoy nature.
