1 Meriam Model M330 & M332 Embedded Pressure Instrument The Meriam Model M330 Series is an accurate, fully compensated, selfcontained, digital pressure measurement instrument designed to be tightly integrated into your systems. Ideal for integrators and designers familiar with C/C ++, Visual Basic or LabVIEW programming, these instruments accommodate digital communication using UART or I 2 C hardware layers (both standard). A Development Kit is available to assist with the integration effort. EPI provides the clean circuitry, precise physical measurements and innovative compensation algorithms that provide Meriam M330 clients with the best available accuracy over the widest temperature range. The M330 EPI is designed for OEMs who require accurate, temperature compensated, pressure measurements but do not want the expense of designing and maintaining the calibration infrastructure necessary for this precision. 2 M332 Dual Pressure Sensor Ranges Model M332 (with enclosure) will accommodate any combination of AI or CI sensor types. The dual sensor option can reduce the total purchase price, instation cost and mechanical foot print within a system or product when multiple pressure ranges are needed. The same Get Measure command issued to the M332 returns both pressure measurements. As such any EMC, shock or vibration requirements are ultimately the responsibility of the OEM. Meriam has successfully implemented the M330N and M332N into several products that have passed CE testing for EMC, shock testing for 30 g peak, half-sine, 11ms pulse (in accordance with IEC-60068) and vibration testing for 5 to 2000 Hz, 6.0 g rms (in accordance with IEC-60068). Customers will need expertise with suitable development software such as C/C ++, Visual Basic or LabVIEW to program the M330 or M332. M330 Development Kit The M330 Development Kit (pn Z9A450) ows the M330 or M332 to connect directly to a host PC (USB cable included) for software development. The MSP Implementation Guide documents the protocol command strings. This guide is included with each M330, M332 and M330 Development Kit (see the product CD) or can be downloaded from The Kit includes M330 Development Interface, USB cable (type B by type A), instruction sheet, sample code for MSP commands and LabVIEW drivers. The software, when used in combination with an M330(or M332) and M330 Development Interface, ows users to configure the M330,, send commands, and view data received from the M330.
