6 Points of Interest Fairfax Campus Office of the Registrar Student Accounts Dedicated on April 12, 1996, the 7½-foot statue shows George Mason presenting his first draft of the Virginia Declaration of Rights, which became the basis for the U.S. Constitution s Bill of Rights. North Chesapeake Module George Mason Statue Office of Student Financial Aid South Chesapeake Module 24,000-square-foot conference center with 2 ballrooms and 9 meeting spaces 150 hotel rooms, restaurant, and lounge Scheduled to be completed in spring 2010 The Mason Inn Conference Center and Hotel Cross Cottage sits next to Mason s large pond in front of the arts plaza. A popular location, Cross Cottage has been the site of many poetry readings and small weddings over the years. Cross Cottage Mason s free shuttle runs to and from the Vienna/Fairfax Metro stop daily on the half-hour. A coffee shop and waiting area are provided for students riding the shuttle. Shuttle Stop
