In a series of various field tests, Vattenfall Europe Metering GmbH tested the devolo G3-PLC 500k modem as a prototype. Test scenarios with various levels of complexity were applied to substantiate absolute real-world suitability. All tests were based on comparable set-ups consisting of a devolo G3- PLC modem, a data generator to simulate real-world IP data traffic, and UMTS access as a control entity.
