1 Talking Points Certification Information: n The American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE) develops and implements national standards for competency in medical practice management and provides comprehensive credentialing for MGMA through Board Certification and Fellowship programs. n The Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) credential has set the industry standard for more than 57 years as the most significant benchmark of ability and experience. n Developed by medical practice administrators, board certification evaluates and validates your knowledge and skills in key competencies that drive the success of your practice. n The CMPE community includes 6,600 of your peers working to elevate medical care delivery. n For medical practice professionals with three or more years of experience, certification is the next step in professional and personal development. n Requirements to apply for certification: Must have documentation of two years of healthcare management experience, including a minimum of six months in a supervisory role. MGMA will waive your first year of national membership fees when you are accepted into the program. In order to qualify for this incentive, you: 1. Must be a current state member. 2. Cannot be a current national member. 3. Must be a qualified applicant for certification, and your application must be accepted. Board Certification Agreement I understand that to be eligible to participate in board certification through ACMPE, I must have a minimum of two years experience in an ambulatory or other healthcare management position that contributes to the mission of MGMA, including at least six months in a supervisory role.
