29 Recent Success! October 22, 2013 Governor Cuomo signed legislation that will immediately makes it illegal to import, allow to breed, or release Eurasian boars to the wild in NY. Beginning Sept. 1, 2015 the law will also prohibit the possession and transportation of Eurasian boars. Significant penalties associated with violating these provisions. Eurasian boars are defined in the law as any subspecies, breed or hybrid of swine recognized as Eurasian boar, Russian boar, wild boar, wild hog, razorback or feral swine. All swine removed from wild and shooting enclosures 4/6/15.
