6 Ants Read Together Think and Share Read Together As we saw in the book, many different animals make their homes in the woods. Ants are one kind of woods animal. Ants live in nests that have many rooms and tunnels. The nests have one or more queen ants and lots of worker ants. The queen ant is the mother of all the ants in the nest. The worker ants take care of ant eggs and feed baby ants. 1. The family in the book saw animals. Why did they see animals? What happened? The family saw animals. Why did it happen? 2. Look at the picture of the fox on page 5. What does the picture show you about the weather in the woods? 3. Find and write the word from page 5 that has the short u sound and a final blend. 4.
