1 Ministère d Etat Département des Relations Extérieures APPLICATION FORM FOR CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION IN MONACO S YOUTH MOBILITY SCHEME FOR BRITISH CITIZENS 1. Introduction This is the form which you must fill in if you are a young British Citizen who wishes to participate in Monaco s Youth Mobility Scheme for British Citizens. Information on the scheme can be viewed via the following link: / Youth Mobility Scheme (YMS)/ 2. YMS Eligibility requirements : To be eligible for the Scheme you must : (i) (ii) (iii) (iv) (v) be aged 18 to 30 years inclusive, be a British citizen who is habitually resident in the United Kingdom or who can produce a valid Monegasque residency permit, produce a valid passport (the period granted for of YMS participation will not be permitted to extend beyond a date six months prior to the expiry date of the participant s valid national passport), be able to support yourself for the entire period of validity of the YMS certificate without use of public funds NB We require that you produce evidence that you hold (or its equivalent ) at the date of your application. not have any children under the age of 18 who are either living with you or for whom you are financially responsible. NB Applicants who are married or have partners may participate in Monaco s YMS. Although spouses or partners of YMS participants may not enter Monaco as dependants, they may enter the country independently in the normal way in accordance with Monaco s immigration arrangements, and be granted participant status under the Scheme or immigration status under another provision, e.g. to work or study, if they qualify in their own right for this. 1

4 NB YMS certificates are only granted on an individual basis: spouses or partners of YMS participants wishing to live in the Principality have to qualify independently to participate in the scheme or otherwise meet the regulations in force relating to the residency of foreigners. (7). Documents to be submitted with this form: (i) A valid British passport (see 4 (c) above); and (ii) a valid Monegasque residency permit (if applicable, see 2 (b) above); and (iii) One photograph approx. 35mm x 45mm in size (taken within 6 months) (iv) Evidence for funds under the last 3 months bank statements (v) Payment for application fees for 150. NB One copy of each of the documents at (ii) to (iv) above is required, and, all statements made in relation to the application must be true and accurate. 8. Processing YMS Certificate applications (i) (ii) (iii) We aim to consider applications quickly. However, we must also be confident that the applications meet YMS eligibility requirements. We may therefore make checks in respect of the supporting documents an applicant submits with his/her application, YMS certificates will be sent by mail and electronic mail to successful applicants. In case of refusal, the Département des Relations Extérieures will write to advise the applicant of this (with a notice of refusal), within 4 weeks from receipt of application, and all documents submitted with the application will be returned. NB An applicant who has been refused a certificate is free to re-apply as soon as he fits the eligibility requirements, and there are places available under the Scheme. Those who have been granted certificates under the scheme are not eligible to apply for such certificates at any future date. I hereby certify that my answers are true, sincere and complete.
