17 FYI Weight-load information We are often asked about our tested weight-load capacity. The information below is a guideline to follow with regard to weight-load capacity. elfa Standard elfa shelving is load rated at 100 lbs. per linear foot. This assumes spacing between standards is 24". This is a rating for 12", 16" or 20" shelves with the Top Track mounted using elfa anchors in 1/2" or 5/8" sheet rock. We recommend the use of a power drill to tightly secure the Top Track Anchors into the wall/sheet rock. Shelf Bracket For commercial applications, we recommend spacing between standards at no more than 24". Shelf ratings can be increased by reducing spacing of the standards to less than 24". Optimum position of standard on track is directly in between two screw holes Ventilated Shelf 8" Bracket 8" AVOID heavy loads if standard is placed on end of track beyond the screw hole. Remember these weight load capacities for all shelf depth dimensions: 125 lbs. per bracket 100 lbs. per lineal foot 500 lbs. distributed vertically between 24" width of the vertical standards When possible, distribute the weight evenly on the track BuiltRiteSolutions
