5 SALMON & STEELHEAD As always we are trying to keep a balance between the classics and modern patterns. We have updated many of our core hook patterns making them more fish-able - so, with this in mind the new PATRIOT Doubles and Singles are modern interpretations of our classic Bartleets, the M2 and N2 have been updated to increase the length of the point to ensure a better hook set. 9 In the past year we have re-introduced a number of standard and heavy wire classics and continue to modernise the range with the introduction of the Dry Fly Supreme and some classics in a black nickel finish. As this hook guide goes to press we will be changing the sizing on three oversized Partridge classics, 15BN, 15BNX and K12ST - for many years these patterns have confused fly dressers as their sizing did not conform with the standard Redditch scale. 13 The recent change to International Competition rules stipulate that only purpose made barbless hooks are to be fished in competitions.
