Below is a comprehensive listing of the fees and expenses. Please keep all receipts for the costs associated with the adoption process, so you can use them to file for the Adoption Tax Credit, if your family is eligible. What fees are charged by Welcome House and how are they used? Welcome House requests that fees are paid as you move through the process rather than in one lump sum. This ensures that you are only paying for services that you have received or will receive shortly. Below is a good faith estimate of these expenses, deemed reliable, not guaranteed and is subject to change without notice. USCIS will approve your family to adopt and issue a visa for your child Criminal and Child Abuse Clearances $20 - $70 per person completing the Welcome House application Psychological Exam for Dossier $300 - $500 completing dossier for Costa Varies by practitioner In Country Airfare to Costa Travel Costs Approximately $4,500 when two people travel $500 (varies from case to case) $1,000 - $2,000 per person Child s Airfare $200-$1,750 Hotel in San Jose and/or town $70- $200 per night Costa passport and other expenses.
