7 : 35 Effects of the transposed morpheme on the Chinese sentence reading: Evidence from eye movement data Bian Qian Lei Cui Yan Guoli (Academy of Psychology and Behavior Tianjin Normal University Tianjin ) Abstract: Two experiments were conducted in the present study to investigate the transposed morpheme effect in Chinese sentence reading. For experiment 1 all the measures showed significant differences between reading sentence in transposed and nontransposed condition. The result of experiment 2 was the same as experiment 1 and experiment 2 found that reading high frequency transposed-letter words was easier than low frequency transposed-letter words. The results implicated that the transposed morpheme effects existed in silent Chinese sentence reading. And the results seemed to support the decomposedmorphological representation. Key words: transposed morpheme; morpheme processing; Chinese sentence reading; eye movement study ( 20 ) On the Characters of Self-concept Zhu Changzheng (Educational Science College Henan University KaiFeng ) Abstract: As a syntheses of individual self-acknowledge and self-information self-concept organized and structured stands for man s understanding of himself. Psychological researches on self-concept only concentrated on certain aspects. I suggest that we may analyze the nature of self-concept from its content and structure. The content characteristics of self-concept involve positiveness clearness distinctness and validity. The structure characteristics of self -concept contain complexity consistency flexibility and stability. These characteristerics that contact and interact each other describe and define self-concept both dynamically and statically. Key words: self-concept; characters; content characteristic; structure characteristic
