1 2013 GK 9904 KDP Volume 12 List of Prisoners (Conscientious objecters) given death penalty in Iran Ongoing Systematic Violations of Human Rights in Iranian Kurdistan [HUMAN RIGHTS FOR KURDISH PEOPLE] The treatment of Kurdish people by the Iranian Government.
2 Urgent Call The Islamic Republic s killing machine working to erase political prisoners! Let us be united in resisting against it! To: Iranian and Kurdistan political parties and organizations Freedom seeking Kurds and Iranians both inside and outside of the country International humanitarian organizations Despite the slogans and promises of Islamic Republic's new president before the election, his gentle tone to the outside world, and his talk of adopting a moderate policy, he is continuing the same harsh, hostile and repressive policies of his predecessor towards oppressed nationalities in Iran. Following the execution of 16 Baloch detained protesters and the execution of two Kurdish political prisoners, according to some reports, Tuesday October 29 th, the families of six Kurdish political prisoners have been notified by government officials that their children will soon be executed. Right now a group of prisoners on death row are at risk of having their death sentences carried out. As Iran experiences a new wave of executions, UN Special Reporter, Mr. Ahmed Shaheed, has recently released a latest report on Iran and clearly mentioned that the status of human rights of ethnic and religious minorities, especially in recent has deteriorated dramatically. In reality, instead of seeing the slogans and promises of the new president of the Islamic Republic with regard to different nationalities and faiths realized, instead seeing national minorities given the opportunity to govern their regions, instead of seeing efforts to reduce national, linguistic, and religious discrimination, we are witnessing the disappearance and executions of our imprisoned children. The risk that a number of Kurdish, Baloch, Arab and other political prisoners will be executed is very high and is a serious concern. If domestic and global protest against the killing are not launched immediately, it is likely that the sentences of a large number of prisoners on death row, which were largely ignored during the Ahmadinejad Presidency, will be carried out. Recognizing these concerns, in order for all of the political parties of Kurdistan and Iran, as well as organizations without and outside of the country, to take a public and united stand, the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP_Iran) is calling for: 1 - A joint meeting for the leadership of all Kurdish political parties, as soon as possible, to establish a shared position and discourse to present to Iran, Kurdistan and International community. 2 - To assign a certain day both inside and outside of the country to condemn the executions and highlight public discontent. 3 All those individuals and organisations who encouraged the Iranian People to vote for Hassan Rohani on the basis of his promise to review linguistic and religious discrimination and to ensure the civil rights of Iranian people to send Rohani and his cabinet messages of protest and to criticize them. 2 P a g e
3 4 For the United Nations, the Council of Europe and international humanitarian organizations to protest the execution of Iranian young people, and to not be satisfied with the changed tone and moderate stance of the regime with regard to its nuclear file. Dear compatriots! The Islamic Republic s history is full of repression, oppression and the killing of Iranian people. We need to adopt a united stance to stop the regime. As the crimes against oppressed nationalities committed by the Islamic Republic's regime are incompatible with the unity and integrity of the Iranian people, the silence of our fellow citizens towards the execution of prisoners belonging to national minorities jeopardizes our peaceful coexistence in the future. So let us all unite to protest these crimes. With hope that urgent steps be taken by all whom this call compassionately addresses. Kurdistan Democratic Party KDP-IRAN 29 th October List of Prisoners (Conscientious objecters) given death penalty in Iran We appeal to the world authorities to prevent the atroities happening in Iran to the Kurdish and other nationalites. The following list is growing number of people who have been given the death penalty just for their beliefs in freedom for all. They have committed no crime, and therefore are being unjustly treated by this governmernt. The three prisoners highlighted in red have already been executed by the Iranian Regime. 1- Mr Abdollah Sarvarian Death Penalty Mr Mostafa Salimi Death Penalty In prison since Mr Yones Aghayan Death Penalty In prison since Mr Habib Allah Latifi Death Penalty In prison since Mr Rashid Akhondi Death Penalty In prison since P a g e
