2 How it works IRIDIUM SATELLITES transmit the location back to the Iridium servers on the ground. THE SPIDER transmits the location and other information via the Iridium Satellite Network in real-time. SPIDERTRACKS SERVERS in the USA receive the position information from Iridium. GPS LOCATION of your aircraft, its speed, altitude and heading, are measured at a preset interval. THE SPIDERTRACKS WEBSITE displays the information into a track of the flight online, all within seconds.

3 Install the Spider The GPS and Iridium antenna are both inside the Spider enclosure so the Spider needs to be positioned where it can see the sky, preferably on the dash or glare shield. The adhesive bracket allows the Spider to be portable. Set up an account Customise your account on the spidertracks website. Add aircraft, setup alert recipients, and allow people to view tracks. Power the unit Each Spider is supplied with a 4.9ft (1.5m) power lead with cigar lighter plug and uses 12V - 28V DC power. The lead can be hardwired into the aircraft if required. View the Tracks See where your aircraft is in real time through your account on the website from anywhere in the world. See current and past tracks, and allow others to view flights. SOS Should an accident happen, an automatic or manual SOS message can be sent to your support people or organisations. And more... Send and receive messages through the Spider, link with maintenance and scheduling software, review flight paths and flying accuracy of pilots and much more with spidertracks.

7 Features Portable GPS and Iridium antennas are integrated - no external aerials required. The Spider plugs into the aircraft cigarette lighter for quick interchange between aircraft/vehicles, or it can be hard-wired. No STC required Iridium Network Global coverage is provided in real-time by 66 low earth orbit satellites, with information reaching the website in as little as 5 seconds. SOS The SOS button on the keypad can be used in an emergency to send instant alert messages to your pre-set emergency contacts. Watch Actively track the aircraft as it sends position reports to the website. If an incident occurs and the Spider loses power the website will automatically send an SOS message after 12 minutes of no communication. Mark button & notifications Press the Mark button to send position reports manually, or set automatic takeoff and landing notifications through the website. Send pre-set and SMS messages through the website when a report is triggered. Geofence $ Specify tracking boundaries in up to five circular areas and set custom update rates for position reports. This can reduce the cost of operation when flying in areas where tracking is not necessary. 8 The spidertracks website The spidertracks website allows you to view your tracks, assign Spiders to aircraft, remotely manage position reporting settings, setup notification and store a permanent log of your flights. The website is suitable for pilots with one aircraft and organisations with many aircraft. It allows you to view tracks from all your aircraft on one screen. Easily share flight data with organisations such as the US Forest Service and automatically send information to maintenance tracking software. Get unlimited access to the spidertracks website and your flights from anywhere in the world at no extra cost. Or buy the iphone application to always know where your aircraft and people are.

10 Spidertxt Send and receive SMS messages wherever you are in the world. Spidertxt allows you to connect your smartphone wirelessly to the Spider S4 or Spider S5 via a Bluetooth connection. Once connected you are able to send and receive SMS messages to and from any mobile phone on the ground, or from the website. You can also send messages to . Spidertxt messages are just like normal SMS messages, but they are routed through your Spider to the Iridium Satellite Network, which means there are no blackspots or loss of coverage.
