3 berg COMPUTERS is concerned in addressing social and environmental aspects of its activity. This explains the efforts made in order for the company to be compliant to all criteria set up by legislation, requirements of its partners or its ethic code. Corporate Responsibility and Environmental Management System In order to be compliant with EICC Code, as a very important set of guidelines in the industry, berg COMPUTERS approached the main focus areas. Labor Legal highlights All berg COMPUTERS employees are hired according to the Romanian Law. All the legal provisions regarding the working time, weekly rest days and holydays are to be strictly applied. Working conditions and wages are freely negotiated and all working contracts are signed by employees free will. Child labor berg COMPUTERS is definitely against child labor and honestly declares that children have never been used for employment and will never be. Fair treatment All employees are treated equally according to the same clear and transparent rules. berg COMPUTERS is against discrimination of any kind. Association berg COMPUTERS employees are free to join any association, trade union or employees organization. The management will not raise any obstacle to the right of expression of the employees. Health and Safety Hygiene and dangerous substances exposure berg COMPUTERS have access to clean toilet spaces, potable water and eating facilities. At the same time, emergency or periodical medical checks are provided. Eye disorders are prevented by periodically eye tests. Employees are not exposed to any known dangerous substances. All working equipments are tested and safe. Emergencies berg COMPUTERS always focuses on providing and maintaining a safe environment for all of its employees. All legal conditions regarding health and security at work are met. berg COMPUTERS employees are trained and prepared to face emergencies and to avoid injury by using the emergency evacuation plan. Technically, al berg COMPUTERS buildings have all the equipments needed to enforce the fire fighting plan. Sports berg COMPUTERS encourage its staff to practice team sports in order to prevent disorders caused by a sedentary job. Weekly soccer games are organized for the employees.

4 Environment berg COMPUTERS as a software company makes efforts in keeping its activity eco friendly. There are several kinds of issues to consider when discussing berg COMPUTERS endeavors to affect the environment as little as possible. Energy saving As a software development company, electric energy is one of our main resources used to develop our products. In order to reduce energy costs and berg COMPUTERS implemented an Energy Saving Action Plan that helped the company to reduce costs by 7,5% percents. Waste management berg COMPUTERS meets all legal requirements regarding waste collection and waste management. There is a very strict policy regarding the selective waste collection and berg COMPUTERS has a long term contract with a sanitation company. Management System Quality standards have always been one of berg COMPUTERS main focus points and all quality conditions were strictly defined from meeting legal and customer requirements to internal communications channels development, objective based planning, recurrent auditing or documents traceability. Even if berg COMPUTERS processed always met Quality Management standards, a process of formal certification has started. Ethics Beside the professional conditions and quality standards berg COPUTERS management is committed to a set of ethic guidelines. Confidentiality As a software development company, berg COMPUTERS has access to clients sensitive information. There are restrictive contractual stipulations in al agreements berg COMPUTERS signs with its clients on information disclosure. Relation with public Authorities berg COMPUTERS understands that private companies should have a fair relation with authorities in term of tax payment, granting access to companies documents, (according to the law) and cooperating within public institutions inspections. berg COMPUTERS is against bribes, unfair treatment and unequal opportunities when considering external relations, as well as the relation with its employees. Relation with other market players berg COMPUTERS respects its customers, suppliers and competitors. While making efforts to offer quality products and services to its client, berg COMPUTERS always fulfill its obligations towards its suppliers.

5 berg COMPUTERS understands fighting its competitors not by denigration, unfair pricing policy, false advertising or other unethical methods, but by providing quality products and services and by maintaining a transparent relation with its clients. Employee Rights Awareness Campaign Corporate Responsibility and Environmental Programs Employee Rights Awareness Campaign is a program that helped berg COMPUTERS to have no legal complaints from employees starting the beginning of its activity. The Employee Rights Awareness Campaign has two different stages: Stage 1: Every new employee goes through a training period in which he becomes aware of all his rights and responsibilities as a berg COMPUTERS employee. All internal procedures are provided to the employee, discussed and explained, so any violation of his right is prevented. Stage 2: Internal procedure changes or changes in legislation become known to the employee, as soon as they are produced. Internal procedures are changed only after the employees involved in performing the related process are notified and consulted. Every six months, employees are presented with documents regarding their rights and they can take advantage on their opportunity to discuss their concerns and recommendations with the HR Representative. Energy Saving Program (ESP) berg COMPUTERS developed an Energy saving program meant to reduce energy costs by 20% compared to the date the program started, in The energy consumption is already 17% lower and expected to reach the initial goal by The Energy Saving Program includes two types of measures: - Hardware equipment replacing. There are over 90 workstations on all berg COMPUTERS sites equipped with desktops. From the beginning of ESP, over 95 percents of the workstations have been equipped with energy saving monitors. - Server automatic shutdown. All computers and servers are monitored in a centralized manner. Every team leader is responsible to assure that all computers are shut down when the last member of the team leaves the office and servers are programmed to automatically shut down between 9.00 PM to 7.00 AM. Energy saving Environmental parameters Starting 2008, when ESP started, the energy consumption decreased by 17% and berg COMPUTERS is likely to reach its target for energy savings. The energy saving goal is revised every year in order to correlate energy consumption target to the specific activity expansions.

6 Greenhouse gas emissions berg COMPUTERS activity doesn t involve important Scope 1 gas emissions as its activity is limited to software development. Reducing Scope 2 gas emissions is to be the result of all resources saving measures. Anyway, natural gas consumption is strictly monitored, consumption evolution being as it follows: Waste management berg COMPUTERS has a strict policy regarding waste collection and registers every six month the recyclable wastes it delivers to the specialized companies. Our goal is reducing paper waste with 10% per year. In order to support this policy berg COMPUTERS has long term contracts with a sanitation company for garbage collection and a company specialized in wastewater collection. Environmental Goals berg COMPUTERS set its target for energy saving. According to the Energy Saving Program berg COMPUTERS is to reduce its energy consumption up to 20% until ESP Results berg COMPUTERS Energy Saving Plan turned out to be a successful endeavor as the target that was set has been 87% accomplished. The energy consumed by berg COMPUTERS decreased from kw/year to kw/year in 2010.

7 Keep IT Green berg COMPUTERS employees are well informed regarding the importance of environmental issues and periodically involved in implementing the measures taken for protecting the environment by careful resource allocation. Due to its special focus on environmental issues, berg COMPUTERS hasn t received yet any penalties or regulatory fines. Yearly Environment Management Audit Every month, a report regarding resource consumption is presented to the management. All indicators are checked to be according to the parameters that have been set. In case some figures exceed the parameters set, corrective measures are taken and made public within employees.
