1 Launching Ceremony of Book Launching Ceremony of Biography of is one of those personalities of Pakistan's corporate world who have done a great contribution in boosting the name of Pakistan in the whole world., CEO and Managing Director of EFU General Insurance is the heart and soul of many business and social circles of the country. Paying tribute to his services and achievements Syed Salahuddin Haider, President, 21st Century Business & Economics Club accomplished the task of bringing out a biography of Mr. Saifuddin. The launching ceremony of this biography was held at Carlton Hotel, Karachi. It was an occasion, where the people who really admire the personality of Mr. Zoomkawala gathered to pay tribute to his countless services for the corporate world and for the people of Pakistan. On this memorable occasion, in his speech Mr. Zoomkawala thanked Mr. S. Salahuddin Haider, Mr. Rafiq Rangoonwala and KFC, the sponsor of the book. The text of speech is given here for the readers. Speech of Dear Salahuddin Haider sahib, Rafiq Rangoonwala, Majyd Aziz, Anis, Mazhar and the full Kitchen Cabinet of the t 21st Century Business & Economics Club, All my Colleagues, Friends, Ladies and Gentlemen, recognition and status, I will always remain grateful to EFU and especially my mentor Mr. Roshen Ali Bhimjee, without his personality I would not have been able to be what I am today. 21st Century Business & Economics Club, I will describe them as people who will be remembered for their great deeds in upliftment of Corporate Executives and small and medium sized entrepreneurs of Karachi, through this forum, they have dedicated themselves to helping others and they hope to make this world a place to live and not just to exist. Believe me, small groups of thoughtful devoted, committed people can change this world for the better. These people are doing good things for a cause and not money which in my opinion is much more rewarding. I highly value my relationship and friends like all of you. Thank you for being here on this occasion. I can live a month on good compliment but after Rafiq's introduction, I think I can live forever. The book authored by Mr. Adil Ahmed who has since become a good friend of mine, is just a chronology of events of my life. The book is sponsored by Mr. Rafiq Rangoonwala and published by KFC. 2 Launching Ceremony of Book Some one asked me to tell him the secret of my success, I told him that there is no secret, you just have to jump at your opportunities, he said but how will I know when these opportunities come, I said simple you really cannot know, so you just have to keep on jumping all the time. I have learnt in life that it is more important to be nice than right, memorable results have been achieved with a caring heart. Kindness is the noblest weapon to conquer with. When you deal straight with people they sense, that they can trust you but more important is that when you lie down at night your clear conscious will also make a wonderful soft pillow. Great achievements are those that benefit others. Remember, three things destroy a man, PRIDE, ANGER and GREED, avoid them at any cost. Being from the Insurance Industry, I would like to relate a small episode, a lady after getting Rupees Hundred Thousand compensation for the loss of her Jewellery, wrote to us that she has found the missing Jewellery and it would not be fair to keep both the Jewellery and cash, therefore, she said that she has given the Hundred Thousand to charity. Once again I would like to thank Salahuddin Haider sahib, Rafiq Rangoonwala sahib for arranging publication of this book on me, I also acknowledge their accomplishment specially because they have never cared as to who gets the credit. I wish them great success with good health and happiness in the future. For me the most important thing I value in my life are my relationship and my friends like all of you.
