And, as these temporary staff have access to your production facility, you want to avoid unnecessary risks. You want them to be bound by your basic principles and comply with your procedures, just like your permanent employees. With AEOS Authorisation Management you can make sure this happens and stay in control. You can give temporary employees limited rights so they only get access to certain areas of your premises and for a set time. Using pre-defined characteristics in AEOS Rule Engine you can activate access rights automatically for temporary staff and manage people flow better. And if you don t always operate standard shifts, AEOS gives you the flexibility to set authorisations around your own changing shift patterns using Free Definable Schedules. AEOS enables flexible deployment and full control of temporary employees. Automatic authorisation control If you use temporary staff to make the most of seasonal peaks, for example, you can give them access to your site with the help of AEOS Authorisation Management. You set it so they re only authorised to access your production facility for a specific period. When this period ends, AEOS Rule Engine makes sure their access rights are withdrawn automatically. So you re assured that temporary employees can t get access after their contracts end. During seasonal peaks you may have shifts operating on different days or times from your usual working hours. Using AEOS s Free Definable Schedules, you simply adapt the day/time schedule in AEOS. If you need to send a temporary employee to your warehouse due to, for example, a seasonal peak of activity, you just adjust his or her rights for a preset time. They can then enter the warehouse, but not your production unit. When they re needed in production again, you simply change their rights in AEOS again.

3 Minimise risk during loading & unloading Control & monitor traffic flow At your site there s most likely a constant flow of trucks loading and unloading materials that either go into production or storage. During this continuous, dynamic process AEOS helps you limit the potential risks associated with your raw materials and intermediate products. With AEOS Vehicle Management you can ensure each truck drives a specific route and all vehicles are identifiable. AEOS Authorisation Management, meanwhile, ensures drivers only have access to the outside areas of your site. And AEOS Surveillance enables you to see exactly who is where. In addition, AEOS keeps track of all badge movements. If you use AEOS Maximum Presence Time an alarm s triggered when a driver s in a room for too long so you can take immediate action. All of this allows you to keep full control of drivers at your site, and minimise risks in your raw material management process. AEOS gives you a complete overview for better monitoring and management, even during the busy loading and unloading process. Keep track of drivers When you use AEOS, the many drivers visiting your premises each day can be given visitor s access badges before their trucks enter the site. This gives them access only to the outside area of your site and the warehouse where they need to unload their cargo. By using AEOS Vehicle Management, you can ensure they reach the warehouse only via a specific route. When a driver enters the warehouse during unloading it s registered by AEOS and their visit is monitored via AEOS Surveillance. The driver s authorisation only allows him to be in the warehouse for a set period and his cargo needs to be unloaded within this time. After this period, if he s still in the warehouse, AEOS notifies your security manager who can then alert your warehouse manager to check on the driver.

4 Simplify safety management Compliance made straightforward Every employee, fixed or temporary, may come in contact with your product during the manufacturing process. As well as having your own standards and rules that employees must adhere to, you ll need to ensure they comply with external laws and regulations too. AEOS helps you set and maintain the necessary procedures to do this, and you can register in AEOS when they re carried out. Also, if your employees need to wear protective clothing, you can use AEOS Locker Management to help you minimise the amount of safe storage you need to provide for personal belongings. You can assign lockers to employees for longer periods of time, but they can also be used dynamically. By giving employees access to lockers only for the limited time they need them, you need fewer lockers overall. This is especially useful if your employees work in shifts. AEOS helps you minimise safety and security threats by ensuring all necessary procedures are completed. Ensure every procedure is followed Before a production employee starts work with you they ll need to follow procedures such as having a blood test, reading your code of conduct and safety regulations and watching your instruction film. When the employee has followed these procedures, you register it in AEOS and his badge can then be issued. Before he can enter the production unit, he has to change into protective workwear. To store his personal belongings he uses a locker managed by AEOS. He can pick any free locker and, during his shift, this locker is assigned to him. When his shift ends and he has removed his belongings, an employee from another shift can use the locker. Before he enters the production unit he must disinfect his hands. His team leader registers in AEOS when he s done this. Without this registration, he doesn t get access to production. Using AEOS in this way assures that every employee fixed or temporary can only enter production once they ve followed all the necessary procedures.
