2 Greetings! I've made it to Sudan! I have been staying in Sudan these past couple of days. And its been great! I have learned a lot about Sudan's culture, economy and lot of more. I have been staying in a hotel and its pretty good and its called the baasher hotel. I have not been eating burgers and fries. More like the other way around i have been eating really good food like this dish i really like called Bishbosa. And it is delicious, it is made out of coconut and yogurt plus other things. I have been also been entertained with Sudan's music and dances. they dance by a music called "ni" and its pretty well... cool. I have also have encountered with several griots but one got my attention because of all his amazing storys he knew from like hundreds of years ago.

4 Hello! Now its been a whole week ever since I left the U.S. Its been really weird. People here speak a lot of english, since they were ruled by Britain and gained independence in 1956 january 1.Meaning that the country is only 56 years old.but because of the independence they gained from Britain peacefully. Sudan started a civil war between the North and the South, and that caused a lot of problems. But barely to this day they are getting stable and organized and are throwing a party for their independence. So f to understand people I don't have a difficult time trying to speaking English because of their history. People here are some times very mysterious but also very kind. Here in Sudan i have met a lot of people that are Muslims (not a lot of Christians) and other traditional religions like Animism and Jihad, those are very common traditional religions. Houses here are made out of clay and silt (most of them). To be honest they look very fine and cool. But there is also very tall skyscrapers in the cities. Like at the hotel i am staying at, which is very cool. The only thing that does not look in a very well conditions are the roads there. They are very rocky and bumpy. But I guess that will get fixed eventually. So until next time.

6 Greetings! Once again! I have been going to so many different places, and it has been awesome! Even though when I try to ask how much something costs its pretty difficult since Sudan has a whole different economic system than the one we have. Sudan has a democratic government so this is different than what we have because we have a representative democracy. So this means we use different kind of money and theres lots of many different laws and lots of more differences.well this is really complicated when you are over here because I am not use to this. And Sometimes I really feel in place because I dress in well... t-shirts with shorts and stuff. And, other people here like the men here dress just like me. With T-shirts and shorts. Only woman dress different from over here because they put dresses from many different styles. I got to go, so see you.

8 Hello! This has been so cool! Just yesterday i visited a farm since 4 out 5 people here are farmers here. I mean theres a lot of land here, and by a lot I mean a lot! But I have also have come to the conclusion that people here are not as free (liberty kind of free) as they claim to be. There more kind of ruled by their military than anything. People's vote doesn't really matter here. The current President right is called Omar albushir. I guess he seems nice (I guess). By that I mean I don't think he is a dictator kind of person. Sudan is also not a very poor country in comparison to others, as walk around the city there is very nice buildings and man they are beautiful. They are in a good shape because Sudan has lots and lots of oil. And because of that major resource it makes lots of money. Just like the money it makes out of its copper, chromium ore, zinc, tungsten, mica, silver, gold, and hydropower. But oil is the biggest resource out of all of them. So I guess Sudan is getting a great start for the next generation, so until next time.

10 So today read a book about Sudan. I learned that Sudan is 967,499 sq. miles wide. Its the biggest country in Africa! Sudan is south of Egypt, east of Chad. West of Eritrea and North of Uganda! Also the Mediterrainian sea is touching Sudan! I was driving around, just to see how amazing it is. Its really dry here and my sunblock is running out! I have to wear shorts and a T-Shirt everyday! In sudan its mostly desert and dry shrub. 30% of Sudan is desert! The vast deserts look awesome and I cant wait to show you all the pictures I have! You'll never believe it! I just saw the tallest mountain! Its name is "Gimabala". They also have a famous volcano named "Isa" I hope you could be where I am. Its amazing here. Next time, i'll get you a ticket!

12 Sudan isnt going really well a this moment. Militia groups are fighting the goverment, 25,000 refugees fled! The goverment is very violent! I just heard that the goverment responded to protests with tear gas! I guess thats what you get when your country is 1 year old. Also, Sudan lacks supplies and medicines! And Malaria is present in Sudan! What really suprised me is that the life expectancy is only 57 years! Again, I guess this is how new countries are. Imagine america being like this. Igt would be hectic.
