In these pages is a detailed listing of what we carry, along with the characteristics of each plant, and a note regarding how best to use them in the landscape. It is our intention to publish a yearly catalog. As the nursery continues to grow our product line will expand. We will up-to-date availability and pricing throughout the season. 4 Nursery Management We Grow Green!! Doty Nurseries LLC practices successful integrated Pest Management resulting in limited use of pesticides. Mechanical cultivation and hand-hoeing for weed control make it possible for the nursery to virtually never use herbicides. The use of horse manure to fertilize eliminates the use of granular fertilizer. Soil conservation techniques are used such as winter cover crops and grass-covered roadways. The combination of these practices results in few pest problems and stronger more healthy plants for your landscapes! The nursery is inspected annually by the State Department of Agriculture. 5 Terms & Conditions 1. Prices are FOB nursery on Beith Road near Elburn, IL. 2. Terms are net cash. To customers with an established account in good standing we extend credit for 30 days with a payment discount of 2% for payment within 10 days of invoice date. Call us to establish an account. 3. Please supply us with your Illinois Sales Tax exemption number if applicable; otherwise, sales tax will be added to your invoice. 4. We guarantee all trees to be good and viable when they leave the nursery, but since we do not control what you and your customers do to the trees we cannot guarantee growth or survival after leaving the nursery. 5. 10 Shade trees The anchor of the landscape. When you plant a shade tree it is something that is intended to be enjoyed for generations, so choose carefully. The shade trees we grow are meant to perform here, they are spaced and pruned appropriately to enhance their natural characteristics. It is best used in linear groupings for a more formal application or as a low branched specimen.
