5 EQUIPMENT The following is required to effectively repair/replace components on a Supercart Trolley: 1. Phillips Screw Driver 2. #13 Flat Ring Spanner x 2 3. Hammer/Mallet 4. Small Punch 5. T40 Torx Driver (available at any tool store) 6. Heavy Duty Rivet Gun * - Heavy Duty Scissor Model #FH Heavy Duty Scissor Model #FH Standard Rivet Gun ** 8. Drill with 6.5mm bit * Available from Fascor outlets nationwide ** Only necessary when replacing a separate infant seat.

7 HANDLE Tools Required 1. Drill mm drill bit 3. Heavy Duty Rivet Parts Required 1. Replacement Handle (inc 2 x rivets) 2. Sticker (if applicable) ë Procedure 1. Drill out existing rivets, taking care not to use a drill bit larger than 6.5mm 2. Remove handle from basket and replace with new one. Ensure that rectangular shapes on each end are correctly aligned to ensure the sticker panel is facing the right way up. 3. Insert rivet in each end of the handle and secure both rivets with rivet gun. 7

8 BACKGATE ASSEMBLY Tools Required 1. Drill mm drill bit 3. Rivet Gun 4. Parts Required 1. Replacement Back Gate assembly. ë Procedure Full Assembly or Backgate only 1. Drill out existing rivets taking care not to use a bit larger than 6.5mm. 2. Remove old backgate and replace with new assembly ensuring that it can swing freely up and down inside the trolley basket. It should not be able to swing backwards and out the rear of the trolley basket. 3. Insert rivets into the aluminium rod on the basket and backgate and secure with rivet gun. 8

10 BACKGATE CONTINUED.. Baby Seat & Divider 1. Remove plastic support bar securing baby seat to divider. 2. Flip Backgate up and over the handle. 3. Slide out aluminium rod at the base of the baby seat. 4. Replace with new seat and/or divider. 10

12 BASKET Tools Required 1. Hammer 2. Punch Parts Required 1. Replacement Basket (inc rivets & centre pins Procedure 1. Remove Handle and Backgate Assembly as in previous sections. 2. Turn trolley over so that it is resting on the basket with wheels in the air. 3. Remove centre pins within the 8 plastic rivets with hammer & small punch. 4. Place chassis onto its wheels. 5. Place replacement basket onto chassis aligning all rivet holes. 6. Seat plastic rivets into holes without centre pins. 7. Hammer centre pins into place. 12

14 CHASSIS / BASE Tools Required 1. Same as Basket. 2. T40 Torx Driver Parts Required 1. Replacement Chassis / Base (inc rivets & centre pins) Procedure 1. Remove wheels & bracket if undamaged 2. Repeat procedure as for Basket replacement. 14

15 WHEELS & BRACKET Tools required 1. T40 Torx Driver 2. #13 Flat Ring Spanner Parts Required 1. Wheel 2. Rear Fixed Housing (inc nuts, bolts & ejot screws) 3. Front Swivel Housing (inc nuts, bolts & ejot screws) Procedure 1. Turn trolley over so that wheels are exposed. 2. Remove the 4 ejot screws attaching the bracket to the chassis (using the T40 Torx Driver) 3. Replace Wheel removal only: 1. Remove bolts attaching wheel to bracket (using #13 flat ring spanner). 2. Replace. 15

17 BOTTOM CARRIER Tools required 1. T40 Torx Driver 2. Phillips Screw Driver Parts Required 1. Bottom carrier (inc 8 self tapping screws) Procedure 1. Remove the 2 front wheel brackets as described in the previous section. 2. Remove the screws securing the carrier in place using the Phillips Screw Driver. 3. Replace the Carrier & front Wheels. 17

19 STICKERS Tools Required 1. Scraper 2. Water & Dishwashing Liquid mixture 1 part Dishwashing liquid to 5 parts water. 3. Squeegee, credit card or similar stiff plastic device. Procedure 1. Remove existing sticker 2. Clean bare surface and spray with mixture (allows the sticker to move for final alignment) 3. Place sticker on and remove all air / water / wrinkles with squeegee ro similar device. 4 Wipe away any excess fluid. Parts Required 1. Replacement stickers 19

21 SCRATCH Equipment required 1. Sand paper: Grades 180, 280, Butane Torch 3. Metal File Procedure 1. Sand down affected area with the metal file and progressively finer sand paper. 2. Set the butane torch to its lowest setting (low flame and very open nozzle). Gently sweep the sanded area taking note of the texture change. Surface will polish up easily. Important: Do not allow the flame to linger in one area for a long time as this will cause the plastic to boil and deform. 21

22 GENERAL NOTES It is important that all repairs requiring rivets are carried out correctly and not with the use of screws. The use of screws will damage the plastic, rendering the component useless. Plastic has a MEMORY. Any trolley that may become distorted due to a collision etc. must be left for hours. This will allow the plastic to return to its original shape. 22
