1 Cook Inlet Aquaculture Association Seasonal Employment Opportunities Below is a list of available seasonal opportunities with CIAA in All Positions CIAA will provide lodging and food during the length of employment. Lodging facilities will vary pending on location from weather ports to bunkhouse. Employee is responsible for all travel costs associated with getting to the place of hire. CIAA recommends purchasing flexible tickets because length of employment is dependent on strength of returns and weather conditions could cause delays. Salary is for all positions. There is no holiday, vacation or sick leave benefits. CIAA will cover worker's compensation. CIAA is an at-will employer. Length of employment is dependent on fish returns. If fish returns are less than predicted, length of employment may be shortened. All positions are tentative pending budget approval. Trail Lakes Hatchery Trail Lakes Hatchery, Moose Pass Alaska Length of Employment: March 15 - October 31, 2013 Trailer on site Closing Date: March 1, 2013 Assist hatchery staff with the day to day operations of the facility including cleaning, fish feeding, fish stocking, broodstock/egg collection, transport and maintenance projects. 1

2 Resurrection Bay Sockeye Project Trail Lakes Hatchery, Moose Pass, Alaska Length of Employment: April 15 - July 8, 2013 Small trailer on site (Resurrection Bay) (Bear Lake Weir) Day-to-day operations of net pen rearing site in Resurrection Bay (Seward, Alaska), which includes fish feeding and removing mortalities and site security/maintenance. Must have experience with boat operations. Removal of otoliths from fish caught in the cost recovery/common property fishery. In mid- June, staff will be relocated to Bear Creek weir (Seward, Alaska) to assist with migrating sockeye/coho enumerations and sampling as well as adult returns. There is an opportunity for 1 person to stay employed to cover the Bear Lake eggtake below. Please clearly indicate in your application, if you are available for this opportunity. Bear Lake Eggtake Trail Lakes Hatchery, Moose Pass, Alaska Length of Employment: July 15 - August 20, 2013 (Bear Lake Weir) Assist hatchery staff with the capture and collection of gametes from adult sockeye salmon. 2

3 Bear Lake Weir/Tutka Bay Lagoon Hatchery Trail Lakes Hatchery, Moose Pass, Alaska Length of Employment: May 15 - June 15, 2013 (Bear Lake Weir) June 16 - July 8, 2013 (Tutka Bay Lagoon) (Bear Lake Weir) Assist with the enumeration and sampling of migrating sockeye and coho smolts (Bear Lake Weir) and adult sockeye returns (Bear Lake Weir/Tutka Bay Lagoon). Assist with the sorting of adult sockeye returns. Tutka Bay Lagoon - Maintenance Length of Employment: March 15 - October 31, 2013 Closing Date: March 1, 2013 Assist with a variety of maintenance projects at the hatchery. Must have good mechanical aptitude including experience and skills with boat motors and basic construction. May also be required to assist with fish culture activities. Ability to live in a remote site. Tutka Bay Lagoon - Husbandry A Length of Employment: April 15 - October 15,

Assist with the collection of otoliths at Hidden Lake, Skilak Lake, and Kenai River. Assist with the eggtake collection at Hidden Lake. Kasilof River Smolt Enumeration Length of Employment: May 11 - July 15, 2013 Weather Port lisak@ciaanet.org Enumeration and sampling of the migrating sockeye, Chinook, pink, chum, and coho salmon smolts migrating from Tustumena Lake. 5
