1 Our Mission Statement We are especially interested in making all our patients feel right at home! We put your needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment. Our staff is trained and skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Each member of our treatment team is a registered assistant, and our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars. Doctors Corner To the best Orthodontic patients in the world Hello and Happy February! I am so excited for February and I know many of you are also. Valentine's Day is one of the best days of the year. We have a day set aside to let our spouses/special friends know how much they mean to us. This Valentine's Day will be a little different because I will be flying home on the 13th. On the 10th I will be presenting a two hour presentation at the Loma Linda University Dental Convention on TMD Evaluation and Treatment. In January I travelled to West Virginia University to learn more about the Indirect Bonding Technique (IDB) they are using at WVU. We have been providing IDB for our patients since fall of While there, they asked me to present two lectures for their Orthodontic Residents. There were a couple of things they shared with me so that we can provide an even higher level of service to you! Waiting until all the permanent teeth have come in, or until facial growth is nearly complete, may make correction of some problems more difficult. But children and adults can both benefit from orthodontics, because healthy teeth can be moved at almost any age. It is not unusual to begin orthodontic intervention if one or more of the following early warning signs is seen: Difficulty in chewing or biting Chronic mouth breathing Finger sucking or other oral habits that continue after 6 years of age Top front teeth that protrude Top front teeth cover more than 25% of the bottom teeth when biting Top front teeth go behind the bottom teeth when biting A space exists between top and bottom front teeth when biting Crowded, overlapped, misplaced teeth or extra teeth Teeth meet abnormally or don't meet at all Center of top and bottom teeth don't line up Teeth wearing unevenly Baby teeth falling out too early Jaw joints that click or are painful Jaws that shift off center when biting Speech difficulty Biting the cheek or roof of the mouth often Weak chin or a prominent chin Facial imbalance

4 Jaws that protrude or recede Grinding or clenching of the teeth Embarrassing teeth or smile often hidden by hands If you or your child has one or more of these early warning signs of orthodontic problems, see your dentist or orthodontist. The sooner you receive orthodontic intervention for these alignment problems, the sooner you can light up a room with your smile! Token Information Make sure you keep your tokens in a safe place and collect as many as you can to turn in for selected items below. Here are some ways to collect your tokens: Wear your Dr. A t-shirt to your appointment for two extra tokens. Don't forget while your getting your teeth cleaned to have your dentist/hygientist sign your keep them clean sheet for 10 extra tokens. Bring in your report card for tokens. Straight "A's" get you 15 tokens and "A's & "B's" get you 8 tokens. Twice a year. 5 Tokens for your birthday.
