1 Morgan Park Academy Private Day School Chicago, Illinois Morgan Park Academy (MPA) is an independent, coeducational, non-sectarian college preparatory school located on the far South Side of Chicago in the Morgan Park. Founded in 1873, the school has about 160 students enrolled in the upper school. With small class sizes and strong teacher-student relationships, the MPA program invites students to develop a world view rooted in their own culture while broadening and deepening their thinking beyond the boundaries of campus, city, and country. Graduates emerge as confident young adults, original thinkers, and creative problem solvers. Community Information Morgan Park is a historic neighborhood of the city of Chicago. Located on the south side, it is about 30 minutes from Lake Michigan. The neighborhood has a number of parks and shopping available to international students. Trains will take students to downtown Chicago in less than one hour. Some famous sites and food in Chicago include the Chicago Bean, Buckingham Fountain, and Deep Dish Pizza. Students will also have the chance to visit nearby universities like the Art Institute of Chicago, Loyola University, DePaul and many more
