2 National Beta Club members exemplify excellence in academic achievement, character, leadership, and service. Being in good academic standing is an integral part of membership. The Lake Nona Chapter requires a minimum 3.2 weighted GPA from the previous year in order to gain acceptance. In addition, we look at previous coursework to see a level of academic rigor. If activity was in the past, list the time period you participated in that activity. Essay: The National Beta Club is a distinguished honor society that consists of leaders. As stated by John Quincy Adams, If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader. In a paragraph, explain what this quote means to you and how you will use Beta Club to inspire or initiate change for a cause. In another paragraph, explain how Beta club will allow you to reach your goals in high school and the future. Your response should be two paragraphs, typed or handwritten legibly in blue or black ink. Please attach the response to the application and make sure your name is at the top of the paper. Recommendations: Please attach two letter of recommendation forms to your application. One letter of recommendation must come from a past core class teacher and the other may come from another core class teacher, non-core class teacher, club sponsor, or coach. This application is due on October 9 th, The application can be sent to 561 (before school, during A lunch, or after school only) or to any Beta officer.
