Foam & Specialty Dressings At Hollister Wound Care, our unwavering commitment is to bring innovative solutions to the complex problems associated with wound care. Every wound is different. Therefore, our diverse range of Restore Foam and Specialty Dressings are designed to provide unique solutions to meet your clinical needs. Many of our products feature TRIACT Advanced Technology, a ground-breaking lipido-colloid matrix that gels in the presence of exudate, reducing trauma to delicate tissue and minimizing patient pain during dressing changes. Our Hydro-Shield Foams feature a unique waterproof backing that is also a bacterial barrier to help keep external contaminants away from the wound. With full-thickness, lite and silver dressing options, these innovations mean that you ll find a Restore Foam Dressing that will meet your treatment goals. Restore Foam Dressings select the unique solution that best meets your clinical need. 1
TRIACT and TRIACT ADVANCED Technology are innovative scientific formulations used in select RESTORE wound care dressings. These advanced dressings are designed to form a moist wound healing environment. Advanced lipido-colloid formulation provides virtually pain-free dressing changes throughout the phases of wound healing. Gauze dressing dressing with TRIACT ADVANCED Technology Provides a Moist Wound Interface The lipido-colloid matrix contains CMC particles which form a gel in the presence of exudate, providing a moist healing interface between the wound and the dressing. Virtually Pain-Free Removal Upon contact with exudate, a protective gel forms, minimizing patient pain during dressing changes. Reduces Trauma to Delicate Tissue The lipido-colloid formulation helps prevent the dressing from adhering to delicate tissue, minimizing trauma upon removal. In a recent study (n=510 dressing changes), patients reported the following pain levels at dressing removal 1 : 1.4% 1.0% 6.7% 90.9% Absent Moderate Important (High) 2 Dressings featuring TRIACT or TRIACT ADVANCED Technology are noted on the following pages with the symbols: Very Important (Very High)
Foam Dressings featuring TRIACT ADVANCED Technology Virtually pain-free, super-absorbent foam dressings By incorporating the lipido-colloid formulation directly on the surface of the dressing, TRIACT ADVANCED dressings offer increased conformability and an initial micro-adherence that makes applying the dressing easy on a variety of anatomical locations. Backing Foam Benefits A super-absorbent foam pad provides vertical wicking and containment of exudate, protecting the periwound skin from maceration Semi-permeable backing has high moisture vapor transmission rate which helps reduce maceration and preserve wound margins The TRIACT ADVANCED properties help prevent the dressing from sticking to the wound, while providing gentle micro-adherence to the periwound skin for one-handed application Upon contact with exudate, a protective gel forms allowing for virtually pain-free dressing changes 20,000 22,488 18,946 TRIACT ADVANCED surface Micro-adherent polymer Lipido-colloid gel Restore dressings provide excellent fluid handling 2 MVTR Fluid Handling (g/m 2 /day) 15,000 10,000 5,000 10,177 3,762 3,607 Absorption 0 Allevyn Gentle Foam border dressings Mepilex Optifoam PolyMem * Available with and without border 3
LITE Foam Dressings featuring TRIACT ADVANCED Technology Virtually pain-free, conformable dressings Restore LITE Foam dressings offer excellent fluid-handling capacity 2 Just like our full-thickness foam, Restore LITE Foam Dressings incorporate the lipido-colloid formulation directly on the surface of the dressing. This provides virtually pain-free dressing removal, increases conformability and enables one-handed application on a variety of anatomical locations. 21,522 Benefits Fluid Handling (g/m 2 /day) 20,000 15,000 10,000 MVTR Absorption A thin, polyurethane foam pad provides vertical wicking and containment of exudate, protecting the periwound skin from maceration Semi-permeable backing has high moisture vapor transmission rate which helps reduce maceration and preserve wound margins The TRIACT ADVANCED properties help prevent the dressing from sticking to the wound, while providing gentle micro-adherence to the periwound skin for one-handed application Upon contact with exudate, a protective gel forms allowing for virtually pain-free dressing changes 5,000 4,140 3,379 0 LITE Allevyn Thin Mepilex Lite LITE foam dressings without border * Available without border 4
Foam Dressings with Silver featuring TRIACT Technology Antimicrobial protection combined with superb fluid handling Restore silver foam dressings provide a continuous release of silver ions, which has been proven effective against bacteria associated with wound infections, including MRSA. Benefits The virtually pain-free dressing benefits of TRIACT Technology combined with the antimicrobial properties of silver Provides a moist wound-healing environment and minimizes pain on removal Sustained antimicrobial activity in-vitro for up to seven days, which is beyond indicated wear time* Absorbent polyurethane foam Backing Non-occlusive mesh impregnated with TRIACT lipido-colloid formulation Antimicrobial silver Available without border * *See IFU for complete information Caution: Federal laws restrict this device to sale or on the order of a physician or licensed healthcare professional. 5
Hydro-Shield Foam Dressings Waterproof and bacterial barrier protection in a comfortable foam dressing Restore Hydro-Shield Foam comparison of MVTR and Absorbency 2 Hydro-Shield Foam Dressings help keep external contaminants away from the wound and are waterproof, allowing the patient to bathe.
