14 LEOP PLM Switch ON LAUNCH LEOP comprises the launch, orbit injection and platform commissioning. During LEOP the payload is OFF (except for a short partial switch-on just before antenna deployment). LEOP is expected to be less than 2.5 weeks long. LEOP is described in Section 4.1 of the Commissioning Plan. Payload is switched on in Day 14 of LEOP.

15 SODAP Week 1 Week 2 Week 3 SODAP comprises the RF Link Test, the ESAC MINI Test and the Svalbard MINI Test, each one 1 week long. During SODAP the payload is ON. SODAP comprises the first 3 weeks after LEOP. First two weeks include also some Platform Commissioning activities. SODAP is described in Sections 4.2 through 4.5 of the Commissioning Plan. Key Point 0: decision to start the MIRAS Payload Commissioning / first pointing correction estimation (geolocation estimate) / first L1-L2 collocation / DPGS working up to level L1 (dual) and L2 /

16 SODAP Activities Week 1 Week 2 Week 3 SODAP activities have to be defined by the SODAP team. It is proposed to attempt a first long cal, external calibration to get the Flat Target Response (section 4.6.4) and first image acquisition (section 4.6.6), all in dual-pol, at Week 2, and if failed, at Week 3. A correlator test will precede those attempts (section 4.6.2). For the image acquisition dual-pol with LO calibration is needed. The remainder of the SODAP yellow part of the time line- can be filled in with plain full-pol mode, i.e. full-pol without any calibration (LO, short or long), to facilitate the SODAP activities. However it is recommended to add LO calibration as early as possible within the SODAP phase.

21 MIRAS Payload Commissioning The MIRAS Payload Commissioning phase comprises the characterisation, calibration, validation and verification of the instrument. This phase comprises the first 5.5 weeks after SODAP. This phase is described in Sections 4.6 and 4.7 of the Commissioning Plan.
