2 1. EMPLOYMENT VISA 1.1. ENTRY PERMIT - RAKIA Visa application form typed, stamped and signed by authorized signatory - Clear passport copy (must be valid for more than 6months) - Two recent passport- size photographs with white background - Educational certificate (if required) - Valid lease contract copy - Valid trade licence copy PROCEDURE AND TIME SCALE: - Submit above documents to RAKIA Public Relations Department for initial approval. NORMAL URGENT 3-5 working days 1-3 working days - The Immigration application must be typed and completed through the authorized typing centre at RAKIA headquarters. - Submit the typed application to RAKIA's Public Relations Department for Immigration approval and issuance of the visa. NORMAL URGENT 7 working days 3 working days FEES: Types of Fees Fees EMPLOYMENT VISA (NORMAL) AED 1500 EMPLOYMENT VISA (URGENT) AED 2000 NOTE: In order to approve the application, there will be two separate inspections from RAKIA and Immigration. Please note that the location must be open and ready functional in order to avoid any delays or rejections of the visa. Visa Entry Permit has a validity of 60 days from the date of issue and is renewable. 3 2. RESIDENCE PERMIT 2.1. RESIDENCE PERMIT RENEWAL - RAKIA residence permit renewal form - typed, stamped and signed by the authorized signatory - Immigration application form - typed from the authorized typing centre at RAKIA headquarters - Work contract renewal (for limited contract) - Original passport (must be valid for more than 6months) - Two recent passport- size photographs with white background - Original valid medical health certificate - Original old Emirates ID and copy of the ID card renewal payment fees - Copy of the tenancy contract - Valid trade licence copy PROCEDURE: - Submit above documents to RAKIA's Public Relations Department. - The documents will then be submitted by RAKIA to RAK Immigration Department for the visa stamping in the passport. 5 3. TRANSFER OF SPONSORSHIP 3.1. TRANSFER OF SPONSORSHIP WITHIN RAKIA'S REGISTERED COMPANIES INTERNAL TRANSFER - Visa Transfer application form typed, stamped and signed by the authorized signatory - Passport copy (must be valid for more than 6months) - Two recent passport- size photographs with white background - Original RAKIA labour card - Educational certificate (if required) - Licence copy of both companies - Lease contract of new company PROCEDURE AND TIME SCALE: - Submit above documents to RAKIA's Public Relations Department. NORMAL URGENT 3-5 working days 1-3 working days - The Immigration application must then be typed and completed through the authorized typing centre at RAKIA headquarters. - Submit the typed document to RAKIA's Public Relations Department for Immigration approval. FEES: Types of Fees Fees Visa Transfer (NORMAL) AED 1500 Visa Transfer (URGENT) AED 2000 NOTE: - The employee must be physically present with either the owner, company P.R.O. or company official representative in order to sign the dues papers. - Visa transfer approval has a validity of 30 days from the date of approval. - In order to approve the application, there will be two separate inspections from RAKIA and Immigration. 6 3.2 TRANSFER OF SPONSORSHIP OUTSIDE OF RAKIA'S REGISTERED COMPANIES EXTERNAL TRANSFER REQUIRED DOCUMENTS - 'No Objection' letter from the RAKIA registered company stamped and signed by the authorized signatory, licence copy and establishment card copy - Appointment letter stamped and signed by the authorized signatory from the external company, licence copy and establishment card copy - Visa Transfer application form typed, stamped and signed by the authorized signatory - Original RAKIA labour card - Passport copy (must be valid for more than 6 months) PROCEDURE: FEES: - Submit above documents to RAKIA's Public Relations Department for initial approval. - Submit Immigration visa transfer application to RAKIA's Public Relations Department for Immigration approval. INVESTOR/PARTNER VISA 4.1 ENTRY PERMIT - RAKIA Investor Visa application form - typed, stamped and signed by the applicant - Immigration application form - typed from the authorized typing centre at RAKIA headquarters - Clear passport copies (must be valid for more than 6months) - Two recent passport- size photographs with white background - Valid lease contract copy - Valid trade licence copy - MOA copy for partner's visa PROCEDURE: - Submit above documents to RAKIA's Public Relations Department (Investor Services counter) for initial approval. - The Immigration application must then be typed and completed through the authorized typing centre at RAKIA headquarters. - Submit the typed document to RAKIA's Public Relations Department for Immigration approval and issuance of visa. Types of Fees Processing Time Fees INVESTOR VISA 3 working days AED 2000 VIP SERVICE (VISA SUBMISSION AT THE AIRPORT, MEDICAL & EID SERVICE) AED 500 ENTRY PERMIT APPLICATION TYPING CHARGE Same day AED 420 NOTE: - Visa entry permit has a validity of 60 days from the date of issue and is renewable. - Once the holder of the entry permit enters the country, the visa must be stamped within 60 days. 9 5. INVESTOR/ PARTNER RESIDENCE PERMIT 5.1. PERMIT STAMPING STAMP NEW - Original Entry permit visa or Immigration visa transfer form - Immigration application form - typed from the authorized typing centre at RAKIA headquarters - Original passport (must be valid for more than 6 months) - Two recent passport- size photographs with white background - Original valid medical health certificate - Emirates ID card or copy of the Emirates ID payment fees - Copy of the tenancy contract or copy of the hotel booking details. PROCEDURE: - Submit above documents to RAKIA's Public Relations Department (Investor Services counter) - The documents will then be submitted by RAKIA to RAK Immigration Department for visa stamping into the passport. 10 5.2 PERMIT STAMPING RENEW - RAKIA Investor/Partner residence permit renewal form - typed, stamped and signed by the applicant - Immigration application form - typed from the authorized typing centre at RAKIA headquarters - Original passport (must be valid for more than 6 months) - Two recent passport- size photographs with white background - Original valid medical health certificate - Original oldemirates ID and copy of the ID card renewal payment fees - Copy of the tenancy contract or copy of the hotel booking details PROCEDURE: - Submit above documents to RAKIA's Public Relations Department (Investor Services counter) - The documents will then be submitted by RAKIA to RAK Immigration Department forvisa stamping into the passport. VISA POLICIES - For any services with RAKIA's Public Relations Department, authorization card and presence of the authorized person is compulsory. - Attested relevant educational certificate is compulsory when applying for employment visas for all females, professional categories, and managerial positions. The certificates must be attested by the U.A.E Consulate of their respective country of origin, followed by the Ministry Of Foreign Affairs in the U.A.E. - Attested relevant educational certificate is also compulsory for some nationalities and professions, irrespective of gender. - For Employment Visas, applicants must fall within the eligible age category of18 to 60 years. However, for some professions, the maximum age limitation may be waived subject to the approval of the Ministry of Interior. - The profession should be compatible with the company activity. - For industrial land applicants, 3-5 visas can be obtained for managers or project staff subject to leasing one of RAKIA's offices during the construction period. Once the construction has been completed, the number of visas eligible will depend on the facilities and magnitude of operations. - RAKIA visa holders are permitted to work only with the sponsored company within RAKIA's zone.
