From 1 November 2012 a new tyre labelling obligation throughout the EU applies to tyres. This obligates dealers to place a label directly on the tyre which gives information about three product characteristics in a standardised form: Fuel efficiency in 6 classes Wet grip in 5 classes External rolling noise in decibels (db). You can find the values for the relevant tyres at the end of this brochure clearly presented in the form of a table. However, a considerably more comprehensive decision-making aid when making a purchase is still provided by independent tyre tests since these painstakingly test the performance of a tyre in a number of categories and in comparison with other test products.
