Under Resolution 1107/2011-RUNESP of 05/12/2011, published on 06/12/2011, based on the Statute and General Rules of the Julio de Mesquita Filho São Paulo State University and UNESP Resolution 19/2007, amended by UNESP Resolution 15/2009, candidates may apply, by means of an exam and curriculum analysis, for 1 (one) public sector permanent appointment as Researcher II, in accordance with the current Consolidated Labor Laws (CLT), to work 40 hours a week at the Department of Physics, Instituto de Biociências, Ciências Exatas e Letras,Campus de São José do Rio Preto-SP, in the field of MIcrobiology. 1. Salary 1.1. The salary corresponding to the public employment of Researcher II, in reference 2, in journey of work of 40 hours/week, corresponds to R$ ,22 (ten thousand, four hundred and fifty eight reais and twenty two cents) per month. 2. Applications 2.1. Candidates interested in a reduced application fee should apply within the first 5 (five) days of the application period, to meet the requirements of item Application requirements 3.1. Researcher II: The applicant should hold a PhD the Doctoral diploma will be accepted when obtained in a postgraduate course accredited by the National Council of Education (CNE) of Brazil; a PhD diploma obtained in a foreign country will be accepted, but will have to be recognized and registered by a Brazilian university that has a postgraduate course accredited by the National Council of Education; fulfillment of item is mandatory for a Researcher to be employed at UNESP; scientific work meeting current standards in the field, assessed in the last five years Have national recognition in your research field Have scientific profile over the average in accordance with knowledge area criteria Research guidance experience with graduate students and postdocs; Have experience in guidance of large projects The candidate should enclose a copy of documents that prove fulfilment of sub-items , , , , and (Researcher II) of item 3.1. at the time of application (THE DEMANDS FOR THE RESEARCHER POSITION WILL BE STATED BY THE FACULTY) A foreign candidate may apply, using a passport as a means of ID; however, at the time of hiring, if for longer than two years, s/he should present an identity card issued in Brazil, with a permanent visa. In case the candidate still does not have a permanent visa, s/he

2 should present a temporary visa and, within 30 (thirty) days, hand in a copy of the authenticated request ticket for conversion of the temporary visa to a permanent one, under penalty of termination of the contract. When the work contract is shorter than two years, a temporary visa may be presented. 4. Documents required for the application 4.1. Letter of request to the Congregation, supplying the applicant s complete name, number of identity card and/or passport; age, parentage, place of birth, marital status, home address, occupation and , with a copy of the following documents: identity card or, in the case of foreign candidates, foreign resident s identity card with a permanent or temporary visa or, in its absence, the passport; updated proof of military service, for male candidates; updated proof of voting in elections, obtained through the site: receipt of application fee of R$ (sixty-eight reais), paid at the Technical Section of Finances or receipt of deposit in the Banco do Brasil S/A, agency , cc n , for application by mail. I will not be accepted payment of application fee after the application deadline or for any other non-specified means in this Notice Curriculum Vitae (CV) in 11 (eleven) copies, detailing education and work activities, identifying published work and all information needed to allow a thorough evaluation of his/her merits, emphasizing the activities of the last 5 (five) years, and one copy of documents in support of the CV research project in 11 (eleven) copies, Nanotechnology, natural compounds and virus (HPV and/or HVC), which will be evaluated as laid out in items 7.3 of this Notice In the case of applications sent by express mail (SEDEX, DHL, FEDEX, etc) the mailing date must not be later than the last day for application, as stipulated in sub-item 2.1. Applications posted after the last application date will not be accepted Foreign candidates are exempt from the requirements described in sub items and In the case of application by proxy, a letter of attorney, the attorney s identity and the documents listed in item 4.1 should all be presented. 5. REDUCTION OF APPLICATION FEE LAW / A reduction of 50% (fifty percent) in the application fee will be granted to interested candidates who meet both of the following requirements: I they are students, regularly enrolled at a higher education institution, in an undergraduate or graduate course. II their monthly salary is lower than twice the minimum wage, or they are unemployed The fee reduction will be granted upon application if the candidate presents: I proof of student status with one of the following documents: a) certificate or statement by a public or private education institution; b) student s identity card or a similar document issued by a public or private education institution, or by a student representative body. II as to the circumstances described in part II of item 5.1. above: a) proof of income, or written evidence of unemployment. Please note: The candidate should present the original documents, plus a copy of each for reference, and leave them for subsequent checking. The copies will not be returned A candidate interested in the reduction of the application fee must apply in the first 5 (five) days of the application period The Technical Section of Communications of the institute will receive all the documents and, after verification of authenticity, will forward them to the Technical Section of Development and Administration of Human Resources (STDARH) for analysis.

3 5.5. Acceptance or rejection of application fee reduction requests will be announced at the place of application, in 10 th July 2012, from 9am and, in the case of rejection, the appeal deadline will be 2 (two) days from that announcement date. 6. Application acceptance and rejection 6.1. The Congregation will decide on the fulfillment of the application requirements by analyzing the documents supplied by the candidate The list of candidates whose applications have been rejected for not fulfilling the requirements set out in this Notice will be published in the Diário Oficial do Estado (DOE) (the São Paulo State Official Diary) The candidate may require the Congregation to reconsider their rejection of his/her application, until 5 (five) days after publication of the list referred to in the previous item. 7. Exams and Titles The candidates will undergo the following examinations: 7.1. Curriculum Vitae analysis In the CV, the relevant activities developed by the candidate should be clearly described. The analysis will consist of a global assessment of those activities in the CV in which the following is demonstrated: I amount and quality of research project development, especially with reference to the objective needs of the social and economic development of this country; II Brazilian and international publications that show consolidation of skills as a researcher; III responsibility for the instruction/guidance of new researchers in research Discussion of Curriculum Vitae The oral exam on the CV will be public and aimed at assessing the scientific, literary or artistic qualification of the candidate, in accordance with the following guidelines: all the members of the Examining Panel will discuss with the candidate; each of these examiners will have up to thirty minutes to debate with the candidate, who will have the same amount of time to reply to the points raised; by agreement between the candidate and examiner, the discussion can be mainly about his/her activities in the field of the post applied for Oral presentation and justification of Research Project Nanotechnology, natural compounds and virus (HPV and/or HVC) The research project will be evaluated on its relevance within the field of the post applied for and on its practicability. The discussion should follow these guidelines: the project should be presented for at least 50 (fifty) and not more than 60 (sixty) minutes; the candidate should show deep and critical knowledge of the subject; all members of the Examining Panel will take part in the discussion; each member will have up to 30 (thirty) minutes to debate with the candidate, who will have the same amount of time to reply. 8. Evaluation criteria In the candidate s evaluation, each exam will be graded from 0 (zero) to 10 (ten) and the exams will have the following weights: - Curriculum Vitae analysis - weight 2 - Curriculum Vitae discussion - weight 1 - Oral presentation and justification of research project - weight Curriculum Vitae analysis: - 60% scientific production; - 20% internationalization of activity described (post-doc, international cooperation, editorial committees and advisory committees of international agencies/ organizations, etc); - 10% fund raising for projects; - 10% formation of human resources (undergraduate and graduate students).

4 8.2. Curriculum Vitae discussion: - 40% candidate s academic and professional career consistent with background field; - 30% theoretical and conceptual command of work; - 30% assertiveness Oral presentation and Justification of Research Project - 50% originality of research project objectives and importance of intended contribution to the field of knowledge to which the proposed project refers; - 20% appropriateness to research line in the post applied for; - 20% scientific basis and methodology to be used; - 10% feasibility in the Institution. 9. Examination call 9.1. The date and venue of the exams will be announced by publication in the DOE and other communication media at least 5 (five) days before the exams. 10. Pass, classification and tie Each exam will be graded individually, by each examiner, from 0 (zero) to 10 (ten) Candidates obtaining a final average grade equal to or greater than 7 (seven), awarded by at least 3 (three) examiners, will be considered to have passed The candidates will be ranked in order of the final average grade obtained by each candidate In the case of a tie, the highest grade obtained for the Curriculum Vitae will be used as a tie-breaker, and the criterion for a tie in Article 27 of Law /2003 applies, where necessary. 11. General guidelines When the application/appeal deadlines are on a Saturday, Sunday, holiday or other nonworking day, or when the working hours are shorter than normal, they are automatically extended to the next working day Any candidate that does not appear on time for the exams will be eliminated The final result will be published in the DOE (Poder Executivo), in Section I The candidate may lodge an appeal with the Congregation formally and legally within 10 (ten) days of publication of the final result in the DOE, with the effect of suspending the result until a decision is made on the appeal. The Congregation will have 10 (ten) days from the appeal date to give their decision The hired candidate must work within the working hours specified by the administration There will not be a refund of the paid fee, even when the amount was higher or mistakenly duplicated, nor total exemption from the application fee, regardless of the reason, excepting when the exam does not occur It is the candidate s responsibility to follow and check all notices in the DOE regarding the exams for this appointment Questions concerning doubtful cases or omissions will be judged by the Exam Panel and/or the Faculty Administration The result of this exam will be valid for 6 (six) months from the publication and approval date in the DOE, and may be extended once only, for the same length of time, by the Administration The contract of a foreign candidate will be subject to the presentation of an identity card with a permanent visa, if the contract is for more than 2 years, or a temporary visa for a period shorter than two years

5 The working contract will be terminated if the Doctoral diploma from a foreign institution is not recognized by a Brazilian university that has a graduate course accredited by the National Council of Education (CNE) The rules established by UNESP Resolution 19/2007, altered by UNESP Resolution19/2009, UNESP Administrative Rule 246/2010 and the Statutes and regulations of UNESP apply to these job entrance exams The documented CV will be available to the candidate during the process of appointment. After this, if not reclaimed by the candidate, it will be discarded The application implies knowledge of this Notice and the acceptance of the exam conditions set out herein The candidate will be responsible for any error or omission of information in the application A candidate who provides false or inaccurate information, even if discovered later, or who does not fulfill all the conditions established by this Notice, will have his/her application canceled and, consequently, all his/her exams will be canceled, even if s/he has passed Any item of this Notice may be changed or updated until the exams take place, and such changes will be mentioned in a Notice or Warning published in the DOE.
