7 Subsea On a Stick SoS Operability Proactive participation of qualified and experienced personnel for ensuring functionality and for minimizing risk Maintainability Choice of equipment - preparing for low maintenance frequency and duration, leading to minimum retention time onboard for personnel Standardization and Modularization Standardization for reducing cost, pre-engineering or early project phase work to prepare a Contract and for fast track defining correct level of standardization philosophies and robust design for builtin flexibility correct degree of tailoring possibilities No change in layout for changes in configuration fixed arrangements / robust design for i.e.; 2-12 wells, WAG, Injection vs Production wells, Production Capacity, flexible number of risers, variable sea depth, location, piles vs suction anchors etc. Modularization for; reduced manhours onboard when performing work flexibility for drilling and well intervention operations in the design 7

No helideck or shelter No lifting equipment requiring re-certification Simplified crane (Gantry crane) Crane mobilized only during maintenance No free fall life boats Evacuation trough bridge from Service Operation Vessel (SOV) Capabilities to install portable chute Helicopter evacuation from weather deck possible (pick-up) Evacuation to sea or mob-boat possible at sea level 8

No flare system Only ventilation system Low HC inventory Chemicals trough umbilical from host Pressurized from host, only distribution on UWP Hydraulics trough umbilical from host No hydraulic return to host Water based hydraulics Need to avoid freezing Accumulator on board to compensate for pressure drop in umbilical 9

No closed drain All fluids drained to riser Slope from wing valve to riser blow case used to empty fluids in ventilation system in to riser No firewater pumps. Connection to jack-up Minimum facilities on board SOV to be used for meals and breaks Temporary facilities to be mobilized during maintenance campaigns 11
