15 2- Connected Low level of exposure to high profile locations, crowds, transport and infrastructure hubs. People may travel on an infrequent basis, Some supply chain or infrastructure exposures. Minimum actions as per level 1; plus testing of response arrangements, regular communications to staff on actions to take, review internal support networks and employee assistance programmes briefings to senior management, training in emergency leadership, additional precautions with regards family contacts, facility controls for holding and releasing staff, BIA review, web solutions and call out systems reviewed.
16 3 - Exposed A possible target due to size, activity, history and location Or close to potential targets May fall in to a cordon or evacuation area. People regularly travel to exposed areas Supply chain, markets could be affected. Actions required in addition to level 1 and 2; issue guidance to staff, practice local response arrangements, consider in detail government guidance, establish alarm and communication procedures, test procedures and central communication points, scenario test potential events consider impact of duration and timing Establish information networks
17 Understand the context Threat review the neighbourhood Know your responsibility and the responsibilities of others Test ideas on information sources Check how fast you can respond Check internal communications across the organisation Ensure adequate support mechanisms Predict response to various scenarios Plan for the actions you want people to take Communicate, practice and monitor Remember: Security, Continuity, Risk, HR, Communications and Crisis teams all have a role to play in pre-planning...the threat is very much about people.
