Oil & gas Vinçotte is a key player in the construction of LNG - terminals (Zeebrugge, Arzew, Canaport, etc.) due to its successful development of ultrasonic tests with automated acquisition on welds using the multi-elements technique. The application of this method to specific metals (9% Ni) has proven to be a huge organisational asset during the construction phase. Vinçotte is also the partner of many contractors and companies in the QA/ QC services field, from the engineering phases right up to the operational phases (CE marking, material inspection, welding inspection,etc.).

7 Your reputation is mine. Energy Vinçotte is involved in a large number of projects in fossil fuel and nuclear power plants as well as renewable energy production units. As part of the international thermonuclear experimental reactor project (ITER), Vinçotte is also involved with what might become tomorrow s source of energy: a prototype nuclear power station operating on the fusion principle. ITER selected Vinçotte to inspect the vaccum vessel of the reactor, which includes the following: Formal approval of the design Performance of inspections during the construction of the reactor parts in the various workshops Performance of inspections during the assembly on-site chemicals Vinçotte has been assisting its many industrial clients with shutdowns for years and undertaking various activities such as: Non-destructive testing Internal and external visual examination Safety supervision & coordination Witnessing repairs and replacements Monitoring/witnessing of pressure tests Manufacturing & process industry Before making a major investment, a key player in the steel industry called upon Vinçotte to inspect the condition of a boiler. The boiler consisted of a steam generator, an economizer, a superheater and a super re-heater. Our onsite services covered: Non-destructive testing (phased array, corrosion mapping,...) Visual and dimensional examinations Metallurgical examinations (replicates,...) Mechanical testing Petrochemicals Vinçotte was approached by a large international player that wanted to know whether its installation was still in good condition. This asset integrity management exercise included following activities: Drawing up and implementing inspection plans (working together with metallurgists, laboratories and NDT specialists) Remaining Life Assesments Vinçotte used these assessment to help the client make predictions for a safe living environment. The data gathered was pooled to make a comprehensive evaluation and perform a remaining life assessment.
