Norway build a new airport and hope to reuse the old airport in Fornebu Various proposals to use the airport Build High-Tech Park with National Funded Research Laboratory Research Council (2000) Selection of activities Certain expectations High quality research Education (PhD) Industrial relations St. prp. nr , KUF (likelydende NHD og SD) en forutsetning for at et IT- og kunnskapsenter på Fornebu skal bli vellykket, er at det etableres et Center of Excellence (Senter for fremragende forskning jf. St. meld. nr 39 ( ) Forskning ved et tidsskille) innen for informasjons- og kommunikasjonsteknologi. Regjeringen foreslår at det i 2000 totalt bevilges 45 mill. kroner til etablering av et Center of Excellence på Fornebu. Etableringen vil være en samfinansiering av Kirke-, utdannings- og forskningsdepartementet (30 mill. kroner), Nærings- og handelsdepartementet (10 mill. kroner jf. kap. 920) og Samferdselsdepartementet (5 mill. kroner jf. kap. 1301). Norges forskningsråd vil få det koordinerende ansvaret i planleggingen, men dette vil skje samarbeid med forsknings- og utdanningsinstitusjonene. 3

15 Resilient Wireless Network The purpose is to design architecture, protocols and algorithms to provide resilient services continuously and effectively for wireless networks. We are expecting to incorporate resilience as an inherent characteristic in wireless networks. 15
