2 INTRODUCTION There are some important factors to be considered when arranging the delivery or collection of your metal holding. To assist you in this process, this guide will provide valuable information and instruction. The Guide has been divided into 6sections: 1 Fabrication this section will provide information for those clients holding unallocated or poolallocated metal and wish to convert their holding to physical metal for delivery or collection. 2. Delivery information regarding the delivery of metal using freight companies. 3. Collection the process to arrange physical collection from The Mint. 4. Product Schedule a list of bars and coins available 5. Forms required forms or information that must be completed. Please review this information carefully and should you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact Depository Services. Please note that the information contained within this guide may not be applicable in all circumstances, and that the Terms & Conditions of your Depository account should also be considered. IMPORTANTINFORMATION All fabrication and storage and invoices must be paid in full prior to delivery or collection. Metal cannot be released until payment is received and this may impact the delivery or collection. Please ensure your account is in good order before collecting or delivering metal. Depository Services does not offer retail sales. Clients that collect metal within three months from the date of purchase will incur a three month storage charge. Please provide as much notice as possible for all collections and deliveries. Once you have accepted the freight quote or confirmed your collection, any changes will incur additional charges and all associated costs will be due. 2 M e t a l D e l i v e r y a n d C o l l e c t i o n G u i d e

3 1. FABRICATION Clients with Unallocated or Pool Allocated metal must convert their holding to physical bars or coins prior to collection or delivery. The standard time frame for fabricating metal is 10 business days however this may change with demand (this does not include delivery time). A list of bars and coins, including their fabrication charges can be found in the Product Schedule in Section 5 of this guide. Please provide clear, written instruction as to the quantity and type of bar or coin you would like. We are unable to provide any advice as to which products will best meet your requirements. Wherever possible we try and keep stock of pre fabricated bars and coins, but their availability is based on demand. There may be occasions in which the bars and coins will need to be fabricated and the supply will be determined by The Mint s production schedule. 2. DELIVERY The Perth Mint is not a freight company. We use the services of professional logistics companies with many years of experience in freight and transportation. It is also important to note that, due to the value and weight of metal, shipping precious metals such as gold and silver, is very different to shipping any other type of cargo. The Terms & Conditions of each individual freight company will apply. The cost of delivery will depend upon the value, destination and the level of service provided. We are unable to provide approximate costs and require certain information in order to obtain a freight quote. Obtaining a freight quote may take anywhere from 2 to 5 business days. Wherever possible, we will provide you with two freight options: A. Unsecured/Uninsured. These quotes will be supplied by companies such as FedEx (For International Shipments) or Toll Priority (for Australian domestic shipments *up to AUD $30,000). They will generally deliver door to door and are usually the most cost effective method to ship precious metal. These companies do not offer insurance and are classified as general couriers. This means that they will be collected from our premises in a standard non armoured vehicle and air freighted to the ultimate destination as general cargo and finally delivered by a standard non armoured vehicle. If you choose this option you will need to assume all risk and sign and complete the Unsecured Transport Waiver form, which can be found in Section 6. We are unable to provide any advice regarding insurance companies that may be able to offer insurance for this type of shipment as these companies will vary from country to country. *Australian shipments valued at over $30, are required to be quoted with insurance. 3 M e t a l D e l i v e r y a n d C o l l e c t i o n G u i d e

Secure/Insured to commercial business address or depot collection Secure transport companies such as Brinks will not deliver to a residential address, so unless a business address is provided, the customer will need to arrange collection from the armoured depot. Not all depots allow customer collection, so this will be confirmed at the time of the quote. The secure carrier will transport all goods in a secure manner and insurance is included up to the point of delivery to the nominated business address or on receipt of a signature when collected from the depot. For International shipments a secure transportation quote includes customs clearance at destination but does not include any local duties and taxes. If applicable these are at the customer s expense along with any storage charges if there are delays in clearance for whatever reason. Secure Transportation is the most secure method but comes at a higher price point. * Please Note - if freight is sent to a depot and isn t collected from the depot within 3 working days from contact by the carrier company advising the freight is available for collection, a $50.00 per day storage charge will be incurred from day 4 to and inclusive of the collection date * ** If the freight has not been collected from the depot after 7 working days from contact by the carrier company advising the freight is available for collection. The freight will be returned to The Perth Mint with the return charge being incurred by the client, in addition to the $ (4 x $50.00) storage cost incurred from the freight holding facility. Arranging your own Delivery Should you wish to organise your own delivery, we will arrange for the metal to be made available for collection by your freight company. Please note that we are unable to provide any assistance to you in organising your own delivery and will require certain information before we can process your request. This information includes: i.) ii.) The name of your freight company including local contact details Packing instructions The Mint will arrange for the metal to be packed following the instructions of your freight company. You will need to provide clear and precise instructions which must be forwarded at the time of placing the order. The Mint will issue an invoice for packing charges. iii.) Delivery address iv.) A list of metal to be collected by the freight company v.) Expected dates of collection (note: it is essential that the freight company book a collection time prior to attending The Mint) IMPORTANTINFORMATION Metal will only be delivered to your listed account address, unless: A Depot Collection has been arranged The Secure Carrier requests a commercial address, in which case you must be present to sign and accept the delivery. You have an account with another Depository, in the same name as your Perth Mint account. Evidence of this account must be provided. 5 IMPORTANTINFORMATION FOR FREIGHT In order to obtain a freight quote, please complete and return the Request for Freight Quote form in Section 6. This form will provide us with the necessary information to proceed. Generally a freight quote is valid for 30 days. If we have not received a response before this time the delivery will be reconfirmed or re quoted. Upon receipt of the freight quote, we require that you respond, by (not phone) and advise that you accept the quote and confirm all details are correct. We are unable to proceed without your of acceptance and confirmation. Please your Depository freight consultant directly, or pmds@perthmint.com.au If you are in our Certificate Program, your Certificates must be signed and returned before metal can be collected or dispatched. Please contact your Approved Dealer for more information. We are unable to guarantee delivery on a specific date or time. Delays may occur due to bad weather, air craft problems and so on. Delivery times will vary from 3 days to 4 weeks and in some instances may be longer oz bars require specific packaging due to their weight. Fumigated, wooden boxes will be provided at a cost of $30 per box. We are unable to organise Secure / Insured delivery to South and Central America, and Africa. Ability to deliver to other locations will be confirmed by the freight company. We are unable to make third party deliveries. This means that the metal can only be shipped to, or collected by, you. If you are personally unable to accept delivery or collect metal please contact our office. Variations to the address we have on file may require further explanation. Once you have accepted the freight quote, changes cannot be made and all costs will be due. Delivery Process 1. Request freight quote. Include delivery information as per form in Section6. 2. Depository Services will contact the freight companies to obtain pricing and delivery information. This may take between 2 and 5 business days. 3. Once the freight information has been received by Depository Services, we will you the cost and details of the delivery. Please reply to this , accepting or declining the quote. Please ensure your account is in good order and that any Certificates (if applicable) have been returned. 4. We will then begin the process to collect, pack and ready the metal for collection by the freight company, including updating our system of the change to your holding. 5. The freight company will collect the metal and delivery will be advised (FedEx and AAE do not advise delivery times) * refer to note on page 4 regarding timeframes for collecting from depots. 5 M e t a l D e l i v e r y a n d C o l l e c t i o n G u i d e

6 4. COLLECTION Metal may be collected from The Perth Mint, Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am and1pm. Collection can be made from our secure car park area, or over the counter. It is essential to make a booking for your collection. In addition to other clients collecting or viewing their allocated holdings, as a working Mint, other staff and services have access to the collection areas. For security, only one collection may take place at any given time. If you are running late, please call our office on to advise. Missed appointments will be rescheduled and this may be a day or so later. As you are visiting The Mint, compliance with our security protocols are mandatory. This includes: a. You must inform The Mint of the names of all persons attending the collection with you prior to the day of collection. If we do not have the ID of all persons on file, this documentation will need to be faxed or scanned. (please note no more than three people may attend the collection) b. All persons attending The Mint must bring valid photo and signature ID with them. c. Persons without ID, or if The Mint has not received prior notification of their attendance will not be allowed entrance to the collection areas. This includes children. d. If collecting by car, please provide the following information before the day of collection: i.) Make, model and colour of the car (one car only may attend) ii.) iii.) 7 IMPORTANTINFORMATION FOR COLLECTIONS Due to the necessity for appointment times, we require at least 3 business days notice for a collection. Collections of large metal holding will require more notice. Submitting your Request for Collection is only an expression of intent until confirmed in writing by our offices. The 3 business day notice will begin from the acceptance of any charges due and your response to our Authority to Proceed request, which will be sent upon receipt and verification of your request. Please be aware thatwe will need to contact you within these 3 business days. There may be a payment required regarding the Allocation of your holding or for storage charges against an already Allocated holding. These will be advised to you when we respond to the submission of your request. Metal for collection is not packed. Please bring adequate items to carry or pack the metal. We are unable to make third party deliveries. This means that the metal can only be shipped to, or collected by, you. If you are personally unable to accept delivery or collect metal please contact our office. Variations to the address we have on file may require further explanation. If the total weight of metal being collected is less than 10kg, metal will be available for collection at a collection point within The Mint. Street parking is available on Hay Street. Please ensure you bring something discreet in which to carry the metal, as it will not be packed. Additional administration fees will be charged for changes made to or cancellations of any fabrication for collection or collection request after they have been invoiced. Please be certain that the information you provide is correct before submitting the form. Payment for any applicable fees must be made and received before metal is released. If payment has not been received by the day of collection, your collection date will be rescheduled. ALLOCATED PRODUCT INFORMATION Please note that the exact number of ounces in the 1000oz silver bar and 400oz gold bar will vary. These rates may be modified at Perth Mint Depository s discretion. Depository Bullion bars are not Minted Bars and are not sold in packaging. Only the 1kg Gold, 400oz Gold, and 1000oz Silver bars have serial numbers. 8 4. PRODUCT SCHEDULE POOL ALLOCATED PRODUCT Pool Allocated attracts a fabrication fee equivalent to 50% of the current applicable bar. Should a client choose to take physical delivery at any time, the balance will be payable, calculated on the current applicable bar premium at that time. Unallocated metal does not attract a fabrication fee. Pool Allocated can be converted to physical 1000 ounce silver bars on payment of the balance of the fabrication fee, or to other products at an additional full fabrication fee.
