Thank you for your submission. 3 My very brief comment is that the P120 extend from the railway line in Harewood Road to Chapel Street on both sides of Harewood Road. Similar restrictions should be put in place in St James Avenue - Harewood Road end with the opening of the new Mitre 10 store. Thank you. properties. If the restrictions are applied to Harewood Road but not to St. James Ave, the parking overflow is going to create further problems on St. James Ave. Increased parking on St. James Ave has already been causing problems for a long time. These problems have included: 1) St. James Ave residents being unable to enter and exit their own driveways due to poorly/illegally parked cars, 2) Increased traffic accident hazards due to poor visibility from driveways and at street corners due to parked cars, and 3)St. James Ave residents being unable to park outside their own properties because the street is filled Thank you for your submission. A community consultation will be conducted for P120 parking in St James Avenue.

I would also like to add that St. James Avenue residents should be able to get some sort of parking restriction exemption sticker to put inside their windshields so that the parking restrictions don't prevent them from being able to park outside their own properties. Not all homes on St. James Ave have garages. As this is a residential street and not a main arterial road such as Papanui Road, residents should be given parking priority. It only makes sense to do this. Thank You. 5 I think it's a good idea especially with the new Mitre 20 due to open as imagine that will make traffic/parking worse, more busy. I am also thankful that the yellow lines in front of my address were extended towards Wesley core entrance as it was difficult, dangerous to try and see past if a car parked there so hopefully will be lines or something so people can't park too close to driveways. 3 6 7 I propose St James Ave has 120 parking on both sides of the road. As it is at present we have great difficulty getting out of our driveway because of visibility on the street due to the number of parked cars. Thank you for your submission. A community consultation will be conducted for P120 parking in St James Avenue. 8 As our properties driveway area is common ground our tenants are not allowed to park in the driveway area and our neighbouring unit residents are particularly difficult and cause us trouble if anyone parks in the driveway. Therefore, if the street parking became P120 it would mean our tenants visitors would be restricted by the parking time limit and would also be difficult for our tenants so we do not support the proposal. Thank you for your submission. Your tenants will continue to be able to park on Harewood Road south of the P120 proposed section. In the proposed P120 section, they will be able to park overnight outside the property from 4pm- 10am Monday to Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday. Alternatively, they could park on the opposite side of Harewood Road or around the corner in nearby Matsons Avenue. This section has been proposed based on a resident request, bearing in mind the importance of maintaining a mixture of P120 and unrestricted parking.

We live in Matsons Ave and to get on to Harewood Road left, and then turn into Chapel Street, it is extremely difficult to see what is coming, and have to nose out on to Harewood Road. Because a lot more cars are coming along Harewood Road 'turning' into Matsons Ave (this will definitely be much worse when Mitre 10 opens and cars going in and out very close to this corner). Will need lights or some stop signs (note from 3.30pm is frantic). Also mid lines between Chapel Street and Matsons often has 2 or 3 cars trying for space. properties. 5 11 I disagree with proposal. We already have a no parking zone in front of R of 73 Harewood Road due to a pedestrian access point being installed to service rest home / hospital. These institutions should be providing own parking for wheel / meals, Nurse Maude and visitors. Local residents should not have to be further compromised. It is too far from my flats to walk from a vehicle where it can have all day parking, especially for my elderly visitors and mothers and babies. Local residents are being penalised for other entities that should provide own parking e.g. hospital, church, rest home, pre-school. properties and restricts all day parking which frees up parks for residential visitors including Nurse Maude for elderly residents, not the rest home. It is important that we maintain a mixture of P120 and unrestricted parking. Unrestricted parking will continue to be available north and south of the proposed P120 parking area and also on the opposite side of Harewood Road. In the proposed P120 section, residents will be able to park overnight outside the property from 4pm-10am Monday to Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday. 12 I cannot support the above proposal unless P120 parking also includes St James Avenue, as does Matsons Avenue. St James Ave suffers from chronic all day parking congestion related to Northlands Mall staff using it as an all-day parking location. This is a nightmare for residents as there is no parking available for visitors or other vehicles needing park for business purposes, e.g. delivery, repair vehicles. I am writing to strongly request P120 parking is inclusive, not only for Harewood Road and Matsons Avenue but also St James Avenue. I strongly object to St James Avenue not being included in the P120 parking proposal. Thank you for your submission. A community consultation will be conducted for P120 parking in St James Avenue.

7 15 Parking is almost impossible round this entire block especially with High School cars and others nearby. Cars park too close to all entrances to Golden Age Retirement Village which makes it very hard to see oncoming traffic. Thank you for your submission.
