We will take before measurements and photos to record your progress. The trained technician focuses a round ultrasonic amplifier around the area being treated which delivers ultrasonic energy to subcutaneous fat. The ultrasonic waves burst the fat cell membranes and 'melts' the fat. This then passes through the lymphatic system and leaves the body through the liver within 2 to 3 weeks after the procedure. The machine consists of two ultrasonic heads and electrode pads. All three are pain free and intensity is adjusted for every individual to meet their specific needs. The first ultrasonic head has a low frequency strong sound wave, which only targets fat cells and destroys them. Once destroyed they cannot grow back. 5 What does Ultrasonic actually mean? Ultrasonic refers to sound frequency. An ultrasonic Cavitation hand piece will make a sound we cannot hear while it is vibrating. We measure the vibration times per second as sound frequency and refer to this as Hertz. Humans can hear from 20 hertz to 20,000 hertz. We are unable to hear anything above or below these levels. Therefore sound waves with frequency above 20,000 hertz we call ultrasonic. A Megahertz is 1,000,000 hertz; we refer to as Mhz. Usually an Ultrasonic frequency of 1Mhz to 5MHz is used for various medical treatments. It is highly penetrative. The Science How does Ultrasonic Liposuction work? The basic working principle is the wellknown physical phenomenon of cavitation. The first Ultrasonic Head has a low frequency strong sound wave of 40,000Hz. Ultrasonic waves are made up of expansion and compression cycles. The compression cycles exert a positive pressure on fluid bringing the molecules nearer together, while the expansion cycles exert a negative pressure that tends to move the molecules away from each other. The focused high energy waves create micro bubbles of vapour inside the adipose tissue and in the interstitial liquids of cellulite. In a low density tissue such as adipose (fat) tissue this makes the adipose cell implode with the release of water and fat, as they do not have the structural capacity to withstand the vibrations. The effect of cavitation easily breaks fat cells while sparing the vascular, nervous and muscular tissue. The ultrasonic device emits regulated ultrasonic waves of 40,000Hz which only affect adipose tissue and non-adipose tissue remains unaffected. The blasted fat cells disintegrate and the triglyceride is enzymatically metabolized into glycerol and free fatty acids. 6 What is Radio Frequency (RF)? Radio Frequency is the number of oscillations (or waves) per second of the electric and magnetic fields within the radio waves portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. It is the lowest of the electromagnetic radiation frequencies within the spectrum (ranging from radio waves, microwaves, infrared, ultraviolet, x-rays to gamma rays). By applying RF energy to the human body, which can conduct current and therefore act as part of the electrical circuit, any resistance encountered by the energy flow will cause heat to be produced at the site of maximum resistance which can be used to coagulate tissue. RF energy is able to penetrate deeper into the skin and affect the deeper dermis and subcutaneous layers, causing tightening and improvements to the underlying tissue structure.
