FS Shear Blender Fristam s FS Series Shear Blender with rotor-stator design allows for quick dissolution and hydration of stabilizers, gums, powders and sugars. The FS produces highly stable emulsions and mixes that improve product quality, minimize raw materials used and improve product shelf life. Its inline operation eliminates batch processing and reduces the time and cost of typical mixing. Sanitary and CIP able, it also provides process flexibility without complicated adjustments. The Shear Blender uses proven standard Fristam seals and housings for easy maintenance and inventory savings. 3 Fristam s Shear Blender Pays in Time and Consistency Savings Compared to conventional methods, the Fristam Shear Blender shortens processing time significantly. The unique rotor-stator design offers better efficiencies and blend times. The Shear Blender is also highly suitable for handling varying batch sizes. The forced flow of the products through the Shear Blender ensures a continuously high standard of quality. The high shearing capacity of the Shear Blender improves product texture and lowers raw material usage by reducing the amount of undissolved solids in many applications. Fristam Shear Blenders are fully CIP able eliminating time consuming hand cleaning. Since CIP is far less labor intense, the FS reduces man hours and the risk of equipment damage from COP. 4 Efficient Mixing Method Fristam Powder Mixer Fristam s Powder Mixer provides quick, high performance blending of dry and wet ingredients into a fluid stream. Its high shear rates reduce blend times and ensure consistent product results. Additionally the Powder Mixer saves time by reducing recirculation requirements. Fristam s proven two pump system is a more economical and effective alternative to existing blending/mixing methods. The Fristam Powder Mixer uses the Shear Blender in series with an FZX Series liquid-ring pump to blend dry and wet ingredients into a fluid stream. The FZX pump allows the Powder Mixer to pull a consistent amount of vacuum and maintain pumping performance even as product viscosity increases. The Powder Mixer can be used in various industrial applications that require homogeneous mixtures and batch-to-batch repeatability.
